Warren had shot Buffy, and then ran off. Buffy was on the ground in her backyard with me holding a towel to her wound in order to keep pressure on the bleeding while Xander was waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

My senses were on high alert, I could feel the want to chase down the little coward and snap his neck, but I couldn't.

Buffy was barely conscious and unable to move so I couldn't just leave her.

I heard footsteps running towards us from behind, Xander. He was terrified, leading the paramedics to us.

"This way!"

I could feel several emotions. Buffy's pain. Xander's panic, even Willow. I had no idea where she was, but I could feel her. I just couldn't leave.

"She was shot?" One of the paramedics asked.

"Yeah, in the chest." Xander told them.

"Accidental?"

"No, no." Xander said panicking. "It was a..... he was trying to kill her."

I glanced up to look at them. One of them looked shocked seeing me and I noticed them as one of us. We stared at each other for a minute before I gave him a small shake of the head.

"Her pulse is weak and lungs sound like water" I told them, the human medic glanced at me. "I'm a medical student under Dr. Ursa."

They nodded before kneeling down beside us, taking over. I got to my feet and moved back; blood was covering my hands.

Xander scooted up to where I was standing and wrapped his arms around me as we watched helplessly.

"What does this mean?" Xander asked quietly. "Is she going to?"

"No." I told him shaking my head. "She'll be okay, we just need to give them space, I'm going to call Ursa."

The paramedics had a bandage over Buffy's wound, soaked with blood, Xander continued walking while I pulled my phone out and sent an emergency message.

Out in the front yard of the house Buffy was on a gurney being wheeled towards the ambulance while my doctor waited at the hospital for the arrival.

"Come on Buff, hang on." Xander said panicking. "We're going to get you to the hospital."

I was on the phone with Dr. Ursa.

"Willow!" I heard Xander exclaimed and looked up a little seeing her coming out of the front door, looking blanky at us. She had blood all over her shirt.

The smell of blood was staring to get to me that I didn't sense Willow coming up to us.

"Are you okay?" I asked frowning.

"How did this happen?" She asked quietly.

"Warren, he had a gun." Xander told her.

"Warren." She muttered

I thought I saw a flash of anger in her eye and a want to kill but my own emotions were so high I wasn't able to detect anything.

"It went down too fast." I added feeling tears build in my eyes. "I couldn't stop him; I wasn't fast enough...I didn't even sense him coming."

Willow acted like she wasn't listening anymore and just walked away, fast.

Xander stopped at the edge of the walk.

"Hey Will!"

She kept walking ignoring us. We stared after her, sharing a confused and shaken look.

"Miss Northman, we have to go, are you coming with us or not?" A medic asked.
