Dead Man's Party

Here we are once again I'm not out on a date with Oz or working on my stack of homework instead I was hunting, I tracked a vampire down to the alleyway beside the Bronze.

 I stayed in the shadows keeping watch when I heard someone coming up from behind me, using my instincts I spun around and kicked the person down, I looked down and hissed threateningly.

"I see that you've gotten quicker" A familiar voice said. My eyes nearly popped out seeing Buffy.

"Buffy?" I asked blinking in shock staring at her confused. "You're back?.. You can't pick up a phone?"

"I'm sorry I didn't know what to say." Buffy muttered looking down at her feet.

"How about I'm alive and okay?" I asked helping her up trying to convince myself that its her and just stared at her. "Jeez Buffy, you know how to worry people."

Suddenly the vampire I was tracking smashed his way out of a crate leaning against a wall, he lunged at us knocking us both to the ground.

I quickly got up and grabbed him, Buffy jumped in and hit the vampire in the stomach, making him fall backwards into a pile of trash cans.

He stood, running toward us and tackled me to a chain link fence, I kicked him back trying to stake him he punched me in the face. I stumbled back spitting the blood out of my mouth.

Buffy came up from behind him, punching him in the face and making him fall down. He stood going after Buffy, she blocked before getting a hand under his chin to hold him steady, he pushed her back into the fence.

Oz and the others come running, obviously hearing the fight from the radio I was wearing. Rome and I had taken the role of teaching the gang how to fight and stuff, this is stuff we learned as children. Of course we adjusted it according to what they could do they weren't as strong or fast like we were. 

Cordelia and Willow grabbed the vampire by the arms dragging him off of Buffy, across the alley and slammed him hard into a steel door. The vampire pushed them off and spun kicked Oz back into Xander and Willow making them all fall down. Roman jumped in using his vampire strength to hold him in place.. 

Ignoring Cordelia and Buffy's greeting. I rolled my eyes and staked the vamp, making him burst.

 I helped Oz to his feet and turned to look at Buffy. 

"Hey guys."

No one responded..

We went to Giles apartment, and stopped outside the door.

"You know i-maybe it's too late." Buffy told us. "Maybe we should just come back tomorrow...what if he's mad?"

"Mad?" Xander repeated. "Just because you ran away and abandoned your post made Tori nearly kill herself trying to do it on her own, abandoned everyone and made him lay awake worrying about you?" He looked over at us. "Maybe we should wait out here." 

"Get it over with Buffy" I told her, after getting over the shock she was here, I just felt nothing but anger. Between Angel's death and her leaving I had nothing to say to her. 

She gave me a sad look and knocked on the door a few times.

Giles opened the door and saw all of us his face was so blank for a long time. 

"Check it out. The Watcher is back on the clock. And just when you were thinking career change,." Roman said jokingly.  "maybe becoming a looker or a ... a seer."
