Lovers Walk

At school Oz, Rome, Cordelia, and I walked up to Willow and Xander, I felt like something's going on between them, something they're not telling me and I think Roman knows too he's been spending more time with Oz and I than he did with Willow.

"You guys get your scores back?" I asked.

 "Tori! Willow was very sad by her academic failure!" Xander said yanking my paper from my hand. "How did you do?!"

I hissed at him snatching it back and slapped him upside the head, Willow quietly handed Roman her paper. 

 "You wanna try that again Xan?"  I asked glaring. 

He realized what he did and suddenly looked at me chuckling, turning to Cordelia.

 "Cordy may I see your report?" He asked sweetly.

 "Wow Vicky how'd you learn that?"  Cordelia asked looking at me impressed.

"Someone had to teach Xander manners growing up." I said shrugging, laughing. 

Cordelia smiled and gave Xander hers, he unfolded it and read it. 

"This is not good"  He muttered.

"What's not good?" Cordelia asked staring at him in confusion.

"Well I'm just worried it may hurt my standing as campus stud when people find out I'm dating a brain." Xander said.

"Please" Cordelia said yanking her scores from his hand. "I have some experience for covering these things up."

"Well, I can see why you'd be upset." Rome said after reading Will's paper, Willow looked at him hurt and ripped her report back from him, looking down at the ground. 

 "that was my sarcastic voice." Roman told her.

"You know, it sounds a lot like your regular voice," Xander told him. "It's scary how much alike you and Tori are."

"We should celebrate" I said biting my tongue.

"Like the six of us?" Xander said gesturing to our group.

Cordelia gave  Xander a pointed look, shaking her head and clearly mouthing 'no'

"A triple date! it could have potential." Xander said ignoring her.

Buffy walked up the steps from the street, a long look on her face, and joined the gang.

 "Buffy! Hey! Did you get your SAT scores?" Willow asked looking happier and stood up.

Buffy gave her a weak nod.

"By the look on your face" I said smirking lightly. "I'm guessing you and Xander are gonna be manning the drive-through window side by side." 

Xander gave me a look.

"They're just test scores right?" She  said glancing at me before handing her paper to Will. "What do they really mean anyway?" 

 "1430! Buffy you kicked ass!" Willow exclaimed after she read it.

I smirked chuckling at her while everyone else looked at her in surprise.

"Yeah" Oz said. "With score like that, you can apply pretty much anywhere you want."

"Buffy, this could, like change your whole future." Will said.

'Future' that word got me and suddenly I started feeling down, I frowned sharing a look with Buffy.

"The thought had occurred to me." She said making me nod in agreement, looking down.
