Did She Turn It Off?

Ava said she'd call me sometime tonight, so I'm waiting but I haven't gotten my hopes up all the way because she's with her family now.

~Ava~
I'd killed 50 people today, and my anger still hasn't lightened. More kills it is then, I'm about to lunge for a female when Elijah steps in my way.

"Hello, Elijah" "Hello, Ava Lynn" "I was about to eat her now I can't because your in the way, can we talk after she's gone" "No, this is, unfortunately, important" "More important than food?" "You've been getting plenty of it" I smirk.

"What's so important you made me miss a snack?" He leans towards my ear, like he's gonna tell me a secret, when I get stabbed by something sharp and I'm out like a light.

~Stefan~
I never got the call from Ava, but she could've fallen asleep early or been caught up catching up with Elijah. Yeah, I heard he was out and about again. So, yeah, she's probably caught up and lost track of time or something.

There's a knock on the door and I secretly hope it's Ava. Well, I got part of it... it was Elijah and a vervained Ava. I raise an eyebrow and he walks in.

"Um, do I even wanna know what's going on?" "I don't know" I say to Damon, shrugging. "Ava was out of control in New Orleans, Nik undaggered me and even I didn't faze her" "Is her humanity off?" "No, she's just... she's angry about something, and when she's angry, she'll take it out on anyone around her, it's different when she doesn't have emotions" "How so?" "Mind if I use your cellar to put her in?" "Um, no go right ahead" Damon says, looking at me.

"When Ava doesn't have emotions, you'll easily be able to tell. She won't sound like her, she'll probably change her style to a darker color, she's not gonna want anything to do with us or probably you guys either because we are all someone she knows care about her and will try to turn her humanity back on"

"Hm, when was the last time she turned it off?" "It was way before she met you, Stefan" "Ok" "I remember the day clearly... see we were all very close siblings during our human years. And Ava, Kol, Rebekah, Nik and I were at some house Nik compelled us when we woke up, Kol had written her a letter"

"What'd the letter say?" "Something along the lines of, 'I'll miss you my little one, I shall see you again someday soon, take care of yourself I love you' Some other stuff that made her crack and she turned it off. She thought we didn't know the real reason she turned it off, but she only did it because she thought she was the reason for Kol's departure. We tracked him down and her humanity came back on. So she's very different"

"Thank you, Elijah" "It's my pleasure" He says and steps out as his phone rings.

It didn't take long for her to wake up from the vervain. We knew she was awake because we heard her groan and cuss at Elijah even though he wasn't there.

"He did it to protect you" "Damon, I miss you" "I miss you too but really, even I wouldn't kill 50 people in not even 2 days" "What is this... an intervention?" "Should it be?" She narrows her eyes at us.

All of a sudden, she starts laughing out of nowhere. "What are you laughing about?" "You guys think I turned it off" "Well, the Ava I know wouldn't kill 50 people" "I thought Elijah already explained to you what I was like without my humanity" "He did" I smirk.
