A Daggered Rebekah

~The next morning~
Stefan had -yet again- kept his word and stayed with me last night. I am a little worried about what will happen if Nik finds us both in here together, but I guess we will just cross that road when we get there.

"You stayed with me last night" I smile like a love sick teenager. "Of course I did, I told you I would, did I not?" He smiles and kisses me, running his hand up and down my arm. My head is on his chest again.

"Your so beautiful" "Your only saying that because I am naked" "You were beautiful from the beginning, why do you think I could not take my eyes off of you?" I smile and kiss him.

"You are not used to getting complimented like this, huh?" "Only by family" "Well, I plan to keep complimenting you" "Huh, you are insane if you think my brother would allow that" "He already offered me a deal to stay here... which would mean-" I smile and say, "-you get to stay with me!" He laughs and runs his hands through my hair.

There was a bang, like a body hitting the floor; Stefan and I look at each other, get dressed and rush out to see Rebekah staked and dead on the ground. Nik daggered her!

"Nik?! How could you?!" I shout; Stefan I guess knows more about all this and goes to unstake her, but Nik grabs her and vamps away with her.

I fall to the ground in tears, Stefan coming with me, bringing me in his arms. He had been running his hands through my hair, trying to calm me down. But, my best friend, my sister, is dead... staked, by my brother! The one I looked up to! Staked my sister.

By the time he came back, I had been packing up my stuff, ready to find somewhere else to go. Tears were still falling and the memories of seeing Rebekah on the ground -desicated with a stake my brother right above her- still replaying through my head.

"Ava?" He calls for me, I hear the sadness in his voice. "Ava, where are you?" He finds me packing and Stefan helping. "What is he doing here?" "Do you want me to-?" He starts to ask me but I shake my head.

"For your information, we had sex last night, sober-" I could see how embarrassed Stefan was. "Ava" He whispers. "-and he spent the night, he compliments me, not in a family way, Nik! He helped me earlier when I found Rebekah, daggered by the brother I look up to! And now, he is helping me pack, and he will help me find a place of my own"

"Seems like you have everything figured out" "No, I probably do not, but I can not live in this house with you" I whisper. "What happened to Forever and Always?" "I should be asking you that! You daggered our sister! But I know you have those raging anger issues" "You will always have a place here" "I know, I will stop by on occasion" "Promise?" "Yeah" "Thank you" "Like you said, family is Forever and Always" "Forever and Always"

We hug and get everything to a house Stefan has helped me get. He has been staying with me all day to make sure I am ok.
