Chapter Twenty Eight

Nathaniel POV

"Sleep here" I literally hear my voice say as I widen my eyes in panic

What the fuck?
What I'm I thinking?

"What?" She looks at me slightly surprised and confused

What should I say?, what should I do. I mentally face palm myself as I sigh getting ready to face the consequences of my idiotic actions

"Uhmm,What I'm trying to say is that....with what happened with your friend you won't be able to sleep by yourself since you're mentally stressed" I blurt out mentally groaning

Who would believe such shit?!!

"Uhmm sure but I'm not sleeping here ooo I'm just going to stay here to keep you company since your excuse was just so lame but caring I guess, so I'll just stay for a little while then leave" she says walking over to my bed and plunging herself on it

I also move to sit beside her as we both stare at at the wall not ready to say anything to each other

I decide to speak since I'm the man here😏

"So what should we talk about, we can't just keep staring at the wall" I say as she turns her head to face me nodding her head in understanding

"How was your life abroad?" She asks taking me by surprise, maybe because I didn't expect her to want to know about my life

"Uhmm, US was nice...I went when I was yen years of age and stayed there till I turned twenty to take over the family business" I say pausing to see if she was listening, by this time she was facing me directly looking at me expectantly

"What happened during your ten years of being there?" She asks grinning as I match her grim laughing at the way she was overly excited

"Well, it was quite interesting..to fit in at first was a problem but after some time I got used to it. I had a lot of friends and it was just cool I guess" I say as she nods her head in amazement

Although she looked quite excited to hear my story she still looked tired

I don't know what I was thinking but I pat my lap as she looks at me confused

"What?" She asks as I just smirk grabbing her head as gently as I could and placed it on my lap, she tries to get up but I pin her down

"Just lay your head on my lap and place your body on the bed, remember we are friends not enemies,we can do this there's nothing wrong It" I assure her as she nods a little calming down and relaxes her head on my laps
I look down at her face as I see all her features clearly. All I think about is how someone can be so fucking beautiful

"Don't fucking touch me, I will just beat you up" she says smiling at me as I laugh giving her a look of disbelief

"With which height and body do you want to use to beat me" I say indirectly insulting her height and petite stature compared to mine

"Oya Rest!" She says facing the order side probably embarrassed

I laugh even louder as she joins me but also tries to glare at me in between laughter

"Oya continue" she says as I nod and try to remember interesting moments that I had abroad

"Ohh, the time some dudes were attacking me and Ayomi in school. We were at our lockers minding our business and before you know it they just came and started causing trouble, calling us names and trying to annoy us by poking us and all that" I say as she laughs out loud

"They actually did that, did you guys just remain silent? Cause if it were me I'll have slapped them infact slap is to small" she says as I just smile back trying to hold my laughter so as not to make her think I'm mocking her

"Well, we actually wanted to keep quiet because we were not the type to cause trouble at that age but what got me swinging the first punch was when he called my mom an ape , I don't even still understand till this day what happens cause everybody seemed to have happened in a blur. Next thing I know I'm in principal office getting suspended" I say as she gasp

"Suspended?, isn't that too much for one ordinary fight like that" she ask me as I nod disapprovingly

"Not in US it's not, it's only Nigeria that they will tell you to kneel or they will cane you senseless" I tell her as she nods giggle at the caning part

"But thinking about it being suspended is nice oo, all you have to do is rest at home" Kishi says as I laugh

"It's not that nice especially when you have a father like mine with a reputation like mine" I say as she frowns patting my shoulders

"No caps brooodth" she starts to say bro but remembering what I said before she tries to change her word but it's too late

I laugh even harder as she frowns at me

"Is it not you that said I should not be saying bro. Now you're laughing" she says frowning joining it with an hiss

"S-oo-rr-yy" I try to say but it comes out less sincere since I was laughing like a maniac

"In fact Rest" she says turning her head on my laps to face the order side

After trying to calm myself down from laughing which took about a minute I sigh ready to face the problem at hand

"Kishi" I call her but she doesn't respond

"Kishi,Kishi,kishi" I call out but still no response. I guess she must be really angry

I tap her turning her head to face me to see she was asleep

Already?, awwn I wanted to talk to her a bit more

Why I'm I sounding like a baby,she needs her rest right now

I carry her head away from my laps and place her body in the right way on my bed

I don't think I should wake her up to go to her room, I'll just sleep on the couch

I cover her with my duvet and move to the couch

I lay on the couch watching her sleeping posture on my bed

While watching her I find myself drift into a deep slumber
