It was a another beautiful day and the sunlight was peeking through my blinds my eyelids fluttering between open and closed not quite adjusted to the daylight and just as they closed again i heard a rapid knock on the front door so i got up and got dressed and went downstairs to open the front door to be greeted by mason practically bouncing on the spot desperate to head down to the park with his football morning Lynds oh good your dressed come on we have lots to do today before school starts tomorrow only just mase what's got you acting like a human puppy? I asked him it's the last day of our holidays I just want to get as much practice as I can before school takes over oh mase your so good at football and you know you are anyone who's coached you tells you this but it's not like you won't be able to practice at break times and during lunch and I'm sure there's a football club you can always join they would be silly not to have you on the school team. Thanks Lynds dunno what I'd do without you by my side I'm so glad we're going to be at the same school I just hope we're in the same classes I'm sure we will be mase right so what's the plan for the greatest last day before school then mase you asked? We could either go to the zoo or funfair or mine for a chilled day with films and snacks like our own private cinema or we could go and spend the day at the beach and arcades just so I can beat you at the games again and again haha Mason laughed seriously mason is everything a Competition with you. I said while also giggling .Yep mason replied popping the p at the end also laughing .right well lets make the most of the sun whilst we can right in that case beach and arcades here we come. Your going down mount. It's on brownie mason replying. And with that we both head to the arcade heading to the air hockey which mason won 4-1 then we headed to the basketball hoop game and mason won that 220-150 right so thats air hockey I've beaten you at and basketball just admit defeat and bow down to your master of sports now Mason says laughing and hiding behind his trophy i took a photo and the cuddly lion he won me in a claw machine ( who i named lamps after masons footballing hero Chelsea's legendary frank lampard ) hey I nearly won the air hockey but someone kept changing the rules haha i laugh. me changing the rules yeah whatever lynds can't face being the presence of greatness pfft keep dreaming mount .We both laugh and hug right this champion needs food come on we're getting chips and ice creams lead the way oh great one i say me and Mason linking arms and walking out of the arcade in search of our chips and ice creams once me and mason get our chips we sit on a bench and watch the sea slowly cover the beach and listen to the waves hitting the shore and the seagulls calling out and in that moment i look over at mason and think how lucky I am to have such a beautiful kind hearted person as my best friend. Once me and mason have had the customary beach meal of chips and ice creams we walk down to the beach throwing our bags down and kicking my shoes off and mason automatically makes it become a race to the sea with mason also winning that and then he picks me up and throws me in the sea as a forfeit and then began shoving seaweed into my swimsuit once we eventually got out of the sea and dried off I got a text message notification from my mum telling me time to head home ready for tomorrow so before we headed back me and mason both took photos of ourselves my photo was a selfie of me and mason star jumping while holding hands making a note to frame that particular photo and place it on my bedside table and mason had me and lamps the lion clutched tight in my arms as his background and then i took one photo of me and mason sat cuddled up and watching the sunset documenting the best last day of our summer holidays while we were on the journey home mason said He was so glad I was in his life.lynds this has been an amazing day and the perfect end to the summer holidays and I then yawned and cuddled into mason and said you mean everything to me mason thank you for being in my life as well and with that i was soon asleep mason whispering the perfect day with the perfect girl and he gently placed a kiss into my hair inhaling the salty scent left by the sea and the faint scent of my berry scented shampoo and once we both got back to home i jumped in the shower and I washed my hair and dried it and then I put on my pjs and cuddled up with mason and watched a marvel film before mason was the one to receive a text from his mum saying he had to be home so he could shower and get ready for school and double check he had everything so he gave you one final hug and set lamps in the spot where he was and went home promising to text me as soon as he got home and off he went 15 minutes later my phone buzzed with a notification so knowing who it was i picked it up and read Masons text .(Masetro💙) hey lynds home now mums making me write out a checklist for tomorrow as if I'll need reminding ( i know full well that if it's not anything To do with football it didn't have masons full attention) thanks again for the best day see you in the morning I guess night X
