Ryan's pov
I was walking back through the field when I noticed a young boy and what appeared to be a young girl being kicked to within an inch of her life as I got closer the boy looked up and then ran he had the same uniform on as mason and lynds so I snapped a picture to send to the school but for now I had to help the girl as I got closer a sickening feeling grew within my stomach as I noticed something i hoped was a coincidence the letter m bracelet around her right wrist that mase gave her for her birthday as I rolled her over on to her side my suspicions were confirmed and it was Lynds's I thought the sick would actually leave my stomach but I just dialled 999 and hoped she would be okay and then I made a FaceTime call I never wanted to make and that was too mum to let her know where I was and where I was going hiya mum where's mase he's upstairs getting ready to meet lynds why ?Ryan why are you so pale it's lynds she's been attacked I'm literally stemming the bleeding with my jacket mum she's lost so much and she's going cold oh my goddess mum says We will meet you there STAY WITH HER we will be there soon okay .ok mum see you soon.and as mum hung up the paramedics arrived and put lynds on the ambulance and we headed to hospital i held her hand stroked the blood stained hair back from her eyes and willed her with everything she had to stay alive.
Mason's pov
Just as I made the final preparations for getting ready to confess that I was in love with lynds and asking her to be my girlfriend mum came up in to my room mason love come and sit down she says taking a seat on my bed. Ugh mum we've already had a talk I'm gunna behave honestly. It's not that darling please sit down .i noticed the tone of worry in her voice and the tears fresh in her eyes.so as I sat down mum took my hands into hers and with a tearful Shaky voice she said now what your about to hear is going to hurt but you need to stay strong okay darling .Ryan's just rung me and he's on the way way to the hospital with lynds she's been attacked and is bleeding badly but I don't know much more than that .in that moment I felt as though time stoped and it felt like the world was falling away from me and i just screamed and began crying I fell into my mums arms and she just hugged me and let the worst of my tears fall before i headed to the hospital all I knew I was terrified about what would greet me when I got to the hospital once I'd calmed down and mum had finished calling lynds mum we made our way and it felt like the longest journey ever as soon as we got there ryan was sat on a chair with a blood soaked jacket and I felt the sickness feeling return as I knew that blood belonged to my best friend. Ryan I choked out what's happening. They've got her lightly sedated for now and They are cleaning out her wounds and stitching her up and dressing them and getting her ready for a blood transfusion and then we'll know more about her injuries after her x rays well can I see her I ask desperately wanting to be by her side somewhere I should never have left but as soon as she's home she will never be out of my sight again I was interrupted by my thoughts by a doctor coming out of Lynds's hospital room I asked how she was and he replied with she's lost a lot of blood and she's got heavy amount of bruising but luckily there's no breaks or fractures she's going to be in overnight with antibiotics and we're monitoring her but she's very lucky your brother found her and stemmed the bleeding you can go and see her just be prepared for her to be very groggy while she comes around from the anaesthetic so maybe have a bowl close by and any problems use the orange button to call someone in for assistance . Thank you I say . Your welcome she's very lucky to have you and your family . As soon as the doctor left I took a breath In and walked through the door to see my beautiful best friend laying motionless with a gauze dressing applied to her forehead and some stitches on her eyebrow and a cannula in her hand allowing her antibiotics to enter her system and make her feel better and her bandaged leg peeking out of the sheet I walked towards her bed not wanting to be apart from her anymore and i got on the bed beside her and breathed in her signature sent despite it now being tinged with the slightest trace of the hospital but I didn't care she was okay and most importantly she was alive and I vowed I would catch the person who did This and make sure they payed the price and soon enough With my best friend by my side I rested my head on hers and joined her sleeping and after what seemed like a lifetime i began to feel lynds stiring in her sleep despite all the dressings she still looked like a angel I was so content I didn't even notice her looking up at me . Heya masey she croaks out voice slightly horce from sleeping and the anaesthesia .Lynds I can't even tell you how glad I am to see you right now . Like wise mase your so warm and comfy like my own personal pillow she replied. Can I get you anything do you need any pain relief I ask her . Nope I'm absolutely fine how I am . She says . Ok with a whisper I say i promise I'll figure out who's responsible for this and I'll make sure they are punished .my hero always mase and she snuggled tighter into my side and fell back to sleep and my grip on her increased in order to protect her at least it gave me extra time to figure out exactly what I was going to say and time to make it go perfectly I just hoped I'd be able to actually ask her .
