Well it's finally here the moment I'd been dreading the morning of mine and masons first GCSE and it was English lucky enough it was in the afternoon but I was feeling really nervous I knew I'd studied and revised I just hoped it would be enough for me to get through the exam me and mase chose to study separately because mase knew he'd get distracted so he studied with Ryan and he said he didn't want to ruin my chances of success by studying together but we promised each other that every two hours we studied we would have an hours break to just decompress and I had stayed studying in our room I was halfway through re reading a paragraph when I got a text from mase ( Masetro💙) Hiya baby girl just letting you know I'm so proud of you I know you will blow this exam out of the park know that if I was grading your paper it's an automatic A* 😘😘😘 also I'm grabbing a quick drink do you want a top up xxx and Ps proof I'm doing this studying thingy too I can't wait to get rid of cookie to remind you that you will soar among the stars and be the greatest wish I always make each time I see a shooting star xxx I couldn't help but smile and I sent mase back a text (brownie🤎) grace calls up the stairs Mase lynds it's nearly time for you to head to school for your exam do you want to walk or want a lift.i suddenly felt really sick I hear mase shout I want the Will to live to be honest mum and I quickly hold back a giggle at my boyfriend's comment and I respond with i vote lift as well really can't be bothered to freeze my ass off even more before I'm sat on it for an 1hr and a half and I hear mase reply with how on earth can I decipher that He wants a lift grace responds with because she's a smart young lady that's why you'll both be fine my darlings I promise you and okay we'll be leaving in five minutes okay i then got a text from dec ( dec chair 🪑) Good luck with your exam the first question is the easiest as just put your name in the box and then guess the rest Nah seriously though good luck you've worked well hard so I know you'll do well x (brown bear 🐻) your a prick Declan but appreciate your well wishes X while me and mase are downstairs ryan nikki and Lottie take the opportunity to wish us both good luck and just as I hit send grace announces it's time to head to school me and mase just sat in the back and held hands and mason says It's too late to ask to pull a sicky ain't it asking for a friend and I back him up with yeah can't we just say we're grieving so need to be given exceptional circumstances and have the opportunity to re sit at a later date and what are you both grieving over hum grace says and I responded with the tragic passing of my final fuck lost to gcse English 2010-2011gone but never forgotten and i replied back me and mase are also grieving the the loss of our peacefull sleeps who shall live on in our hearts and mind aww sorry kids but there's no back out clause on this one but points to both of you for trying now come on my Oscar award winners let's get you both to that exam as the quicker you get there and get it over and done with is better isn't it yes mum we both say in synchronisation just think once you've done this one it's one less to sit and it means your both one exam closer to leaving school completely yeah right have either of you had a snack or some kind of food before I've had a cookie I tell grace good and mase love erm I had some starbursts and a coco pops cereal bar well it's better than nothing I suppose but one of you text me once you've finished your exam and I'll come and pick you up and we'll do something fun alright well we're here and remember take your time and it's okay to ask for help with rephrasing the questions.I give a nervous smile and me and mason walk hand in hand towards the exam hall and looked at the seating plan luckily enough we were sat side by side and mase freaked out a little bit as before we were taken into the exam hall we were all asked to remove our blazers and jumpers and roll up our sleeves for inspection to check for any cheat sheets I could see the wave of anxiety flash across masons face and I heard him say please don't make him roll up his sleeves he wasn't wearing a jumper so he just undid his sleeves flapped his arms to prove there was no paper or anything up his sleeves and he handed over his blazer to be checked and he was asked why wasn't he prepared to allow his sleeves to be checked and mase said because I've got an injury to my arms that I don't want to risk getting my arm wounds getting infected it might not have been the whole truth but I was still proud of mase for having the courage to admit that he had a genuine reason and with in ten minutes we were both sat in our seat and the exam was started with a quick wink and a deep breath i began completing my exam and mase did the same I could see mase giveing me glances as I struggled with my questions and When I glanced over to mase i gave him the silent reminder to breathe and I noticed him take a few deeper breaths and I smiled and sent him a smile that told him well done baby and we got through the rest of our exam and i had Littraly just re read what I had written before the invigilator announced that the exam was over no more writing was allowed and we were to remain silent and seated until dismissed by an invigilator and finally after what seems like an another hour and a half me and mase were dismissed and we headed to bag security and collected our bags and walked out to the car park and I texted grace to let her know that we're done (lynds❤️) hiya grace we're done with our exam now and we're out at the front of school xx (grace 👑) okay loves I'll be there in five minutes xx I turned to mase and said hey baby you did so well in there I'm stupidly proud of you I know you were struggling at the end but you got through it because that's how strong you are that's one down and 8 to go then we're all done baby and then grace arrived hiya loves ready to go home and we both nodded and lynds love you can call me mum by the way aw ok thanks for picking us up mum your welcome my darlings right let's get you home for some food how about a homemade lasagne and me and mase both said ooh yes please okay let's go home and make it then .me and lynds had fun playing with the leftover sauces from the lasagna oh you two what are you like honestly right go and shower the pair of you mum says through a laugh it will be ready in 25 minutes and me and mase and we headed upstairs to change we both showered and washed our hair to remove any excess sauce and then we headed downstairs and oh it smells good and we all eat our food and have a chat and then we head upstairs as we have two exams tomorrow our second English and a science exam so we head up and do a bit of studying only this time we set the time limit to half an hour so we had a chance to get some sleep before It and we did the same as before and studied separately mase went downstairs and I went upstairs and sat under the duvet and read over my notes before I got a text message from mase saying he was starting to feel anxious so could he come up with me I told him not to worry about studying and offered him the chance to go for a walk for some air and he agreed so that's what we did I sent grace a text to warn her we were going out as mase was struggling and we grabbed our coats and headed out for our walk and mase took my hand in his a kissed me deeply I'm so sorry I'm putting you through unnecessary stress baby but I can't focus anymore and I say baby it's okay you've done the best thing and told me and you made the decision to change your surroundings and that takes courage so come on babe let's have this walk and do some studying when we get back mase nods and we head off hand in hand and mase says that he's feeling a bit better already and we get back and decide to study together and unbeknown to us we fall asleep.and when we wake up we're both confused as too why we have our movie blanket over us and we're both still in our loungewear and soon enough we get an answer from grace morning loves I put the blanket over you as didn't have the heart to wake you but breakfast is ready for you and it's pancakes so whenever you're ready come down and get some and we both have a quick shower and head down to eat.
