Today was the dreaded day for me and lamps as at the end of the training session and work day me and Frank had to tell mase about lamps training course and i knew that the session would drag on purpose but for now I had to Act completely calm and professional and prepare myself for the inevitable breakdown that would surely occur when mase finds out so first things first I gently left Mase sleeping peacefully in bed and took Bree downstairs and gave her her breakfast and got her ready for the day and then made my breakfast and a cup of tea and I headed in and sat eating my coco shreddies and scrolling through my social media's and I get a text come through from lamps (super frank 🎖️) heya lynds how are you feeling because I'm genuinely dreading this today I know we have to tell him but I just can't figure out how no words seem right 😣 (lynds❤️) heya lamps and like you can't lie I'm not particularly looking forward to later on but hey ho mase is still sleeping right now so I'm leaving him as I know he won't be as peaceful later on 😣 and Grace said you okay love you seem quiet and not your normal self and I say I'm okay mum it's going to be a tough day at chels today especially for mase and grace says why love and I say quietly Frank has to leave Chelsea for two weeks so he can complete his coaching licensing and badges renewal and Mase doesn't know yet me and Frank are telling him at the end of the session today that this is Franks "last" session before he goes and grace says ahhh I see and neither of you want this session to start so it doesn't have to end and I say yeah exactly it's going to tear mase apart and I know people will say oh it's only two weeks frank will be back before you know it but mase has just rebuilt his confidence back on the pitch and now it could set him back and I'm terrified he'll choose to self harm again I just don't know what he'll do and grace said don't worry yourself love it's not going to be easy your right there but we can get Mase through it somehow and grace cuddles me and she says now drink your cuppa love before sleeping beauty does join us from his beauty sleep and I giggle and I then heard the soft steps of mason coming from upstairs and a few moments later he comes into the room and I swallow the lump in my throat and say hey baby sleep well and he says yeah I slept great I really did enjoy the other night and I mean who wouldn't I had my best mates and my idol and to make a already perfect night better I had you looking heaven sent and I say aww thank you gorgeous it was nice to have some fun and getting all glamorous for the night and mason said yeah we're making that little game a tradition now when we have events like that and I say okay baby and kiss him and I said the kettle has literally just boiled so it should be perfect temperature for your coffee and mase says thanks darling and i heard him pulling out his breakfast plate and his mug and him making his pancakes and a little bit later he comes in with four pancakes and a gently streaming coffee and he sits beside me and he eats pancakes and drinks his coffee and says coffee consumed and pancakes munched now to make our snacks and our lunches and mason takes my now empty bowl and his plate and mug into the kitchen and say right love whilst your doing that I guess I'll just hop into the shower and get sorted out and mason says alright babe and I head up to the shower and I wash my body first then I wash my hair with masons favourite berry scented shampoo and then I used the conditioner and I then used a exfoliated body that matches the scent of my shampoo and conditioner I then stepped out of the shower and towel dried myself and then I got dressed into my black leggings and my blouse and I put my hair into my clip and then I brushed my teeth and then I did my hair properly and when I was happy with everything I headed back downstairs and mason said looking amazing as always darling and I said thank you baby and mason said guess I'd better get myself ready now then and he put his tracksuit in the dryer and then mason headed upstairs and I heard the water running from our shower and a short time later masons back downstairs again dressed in his black Chelsea tracksuit and he gets his tracksuit from the dryer and folds it up and then puts it in his bag and then begins packing our lunch boxes and our drinks and he says right I've got my fresh tracksuit sorted and essential snacks packed I'm ready and I headed upstairs and grabbed my work bag and put my MacBook in and picked up my work I'd and office keys and headed back downstairs and said yep I'm ready to baby and I gave bree a kiss and said behave your self Bree please mum loves you and I'll see you when Im home from work and mason said yes missy behave and don't do anything I would do and see you when daddy finishes work I love you baby girl and Mase picked up the car key and said let's go and sprung off towards the car and Grace said try not to dwell on it too much love you won't do you or Archie any favours if you're all keyed up and I sigh and say I know and grace tucks a strand of hair behind my ear and kisses my cheek and says go on and I head out to the car and mase says everything okay love and I quickly say yeah everything's fine just needed to check something and mason says fair enough darling and we headed off to cobham and as we got closer and closer the knot began to grow aswell alongside the dread and soon enough mason is pulling in to his parking space and his phone it's how he stayed as focused as he did I thought maybe it's just because flynn is new to the squad and Zac and Leo need the extra discipline and franks sparing Chris from the hassle and then a few pulled into their allocated bays and out got Kai from his car and then a rather tired Timo climbed out of his car and then flynn got out of his car and Kai said flynn damm your cars gorgeous and he said thanks Kai perks of having a car dealership owner for a dad huhh and Kai said yeah you definitely got the right perk and I say heya teems and I give him a hug how's chlo and Freya and timo says chlos good Freya's not a fan of blankets though so it takes us a while to settle her down and keep a blanket on her and I say try a gro bag it's basically a sleeping bag for babies and timo says noted immediately and I say hope it helps now come on boys get yourselves in and fed ready to train please and I hear a whispered you are such a mum and I say I know Kai now shift and I tap his bum lightly and he jumps and says didn't think you would hear that and i say like you quite rightly said Kai I'm a mum I hear things constantly now in and get ready for training and mason kisses my lips and says see you later baby and quickly rubs my bump and says you know the rules Archie look after mummy daddy loves you bud see you later and he jogs off to get his pre training breakfast and I get my keys out of my bag and unlocked my office door and opened the blinds and got my laptop up and I then headed to the kitchen to put my snack box in the fridge and my smoothie and vitamin drink went in aswell and I made a cup of tea and as I headed back to my office franks just unlocking his door and he says morning Lynds does Mase suspect anything and I say he got a bit upset when he saw he was training with Chris and Frank said this is killing me I wish I could do the course here and they just observe me from here and I say I know lamps you'll get there breeze through the course and smash the exams and be back where you belong in a flash and frank says hope so and he says got the stuff ready for him and the forms ready for chris and I say yep both forms ready to go and frank said star and I grabbed my laptop and set myself up next to lamps and then there's a swift tap at lamps door and Frank snaps out a it's open and Chris came in and Frank immediately said sorry mate thought you were him for a second I said right put your signature in the box and chris does so and I say copy for us copy for you here's your fobs light blue is for academy building doors obviously dark blue is first team building doors and Chris says fab there's your staff Id and I'll pop and grab your uniform and chris says cheers lynds and I headed off to nick and I said morning nick got Chris's uniform ready for me and he hands me a box and says ahh shit umm you gonna be okay carrying that back to the offices and I say yeah it's fine and I say thanks lovely see you later and I make my way back to lamps office and open the door and Frank immediately comes and takes the box shit lynds and I say lamps chill it's not heavy honestly and frank says there's your uniform mate and you should have a t shirt jacket hoodie coat snood gloves hat joggers and socks and Chris says any actual football talent aswell or am i doomed in that department and we all laugh and Chris says right I'd better get changed and ready for training and Frank gulps and says yeah and Chris leaves and then Ashley appears at the door and Frank says coldly right do you accept why I'm dismissing you and Ashley says yeah to protect your precious mason and frank snaps back I thought we were mates i mean we were teammates once a upon time and Ashley said so i wouldn't wrap my players up in cotton wool though and frank said I care about the welfare of my staff and my players it's how I get the respect and results from the boys so hand over your id and fobs drop the uniform back and leave my club now and Ashley scoffed and throws the fobs and id on the desk and walks out and frank says god that is not what I needed today and I said well he's gone now lamps and as much as it's going to break us both it's time for you to get yourself together for training and lamps said sadly yeah can't put it off anymore can I and he headed off and I go back into my office and just as I get back into my office there's a small gentle tap on my door and I say it's open and Ryder comes in with a bag and I say heya Ryder enjoying the academy and your new house and he says yeah I love it so much and my new house is awesome and I've finally got my own goal in the garden now and I say aww that's cool and I'm so happy that you're enjoying the academy don't forget what mase told you though and Ryder said no i won't im actually doing so much better with school now if I don't get what my teacher at my actual school means the academy teacher explains it for me and helps me and I can do it then and I say good boy so what brings you over here and he says umm I saved up for it myself and I got you a present or you can give it to your new baby I don't mind do you know what it is and I say me and mase are having a little boy and we're calling him Archie and Ryder says awah cute and I open the bag that Ryder holds up to me and I see a photo frame with the words my favourite memories and I swallow the tears and say aww that's so sweet Ryder thank you sweetheart come here and he runs gently Into my arms and hugs me and says your welcome lynds your the best I'll never forget the way you looked after me when mason was poorly with his teeth and I say I'll treasure it for ever I promise and i said now go on back to the academy and do your training okay Ryder says yes Lynds see you soon and he skips off and I gently placed the photo frame in my drawer and I then heard the boys headed out to the field to start their session and Chris says umm this is definitely nerve racking and I said honestly you've got the best of the boys just keep an eye on Kai and timo they act like untrained puppies at times and Chris says aw god and there's me thinking my own son is a handful and I said tell you what I'll work out side with you as they can have a tendency to slip into German so I can burst their bubble and Chris said ahh you speak German do you and I say ja and then say that was yes in German and he said see why your lamps super pa now and we laughed and Chris set up the exercises for the boys and I cleared my throat and yell kai timo verlagert eure ärsche, sonst schlagt ihr sie schlecht ( kai timo shift your asses otherwise ill smack them ) and chris said woah that's impressive and loud and a few seconds later a sheepish Kai and Timo appeared rapidly tying their boots and Chris said don't look at me it's lynds that yelled out and Kai said Oh verdammt, du weißt, dass sie Deutsch sprechen kann and i said Kai says oh fuck you know she can speak german and yes Kai he does know that I speak German so none of those tricks young man and Chris says right Kai is here and timo is here and then billy and mase arrived and Chris said all boys present and accounted so great start I think so when your ready boys out and do your laps and the boys do as they are told and they head out to do their warmup laps and then Chris makes them do their hip exercises and then they go and do passing and shooting and he gets them to gradually distance themselves from each other but carry on passing and then my stomach sinks as frank blows the three sharp shril signal from his whistle and mase said I'm just gonna carry on for five minutes then I swear I'll stretch out and cool off and Chris says mase cool off now take a break honestly you've been amazing and mase says fine and Chris looked at me sadly and mouthed who's on standby and mouth back Kai and timo and Chris says okay and mason said you did well in your first session you should be really pleased and Chris says awah thank you mason and I head inside and lamps said to me your office or mine and I said mine and Frank said okay I'll umm call him in in a second and I go and make Kai and timo aware we're breaking the news and suddenly I heard lamps sigh and say mason can i borrow you in Lynds's office and mase said cheerily sure and lamps said god I don't think I can do this and Frank rubs his face and then there's a little tap on my door and I say it's open babe come in and I type under the table (lynds ❤️) Kai get ready we're telling mase now 😖 (lynds ❤️) Hey t we're breaking the news about lamps 😫 and mason comes in and frank takes a big breath and licks his lips and he says mase sit down for me mate and mason does as he's told and frank sits beside him and he says mase umm god I don't know what to say i thought I'd be able to figure something out by now but i just can't umm your probably wondering why you weren't with me today and frank breathed out and said umm mase it's because I really need you to be strong for me okay because I've got to go and do my licensing and coaching course at the fa and that means I'm not going to be here for two weeks possibly longer if I fail my exams and mason just froze and dropped the jacket he was holding onto and he began crying and he said nooo nooo lamps please don't leave me please don't leave and mason says please Frank isn't there another way you can do this without leaving here he starts hyperventilating and frank says mase slow down your breathing mate and believe me I wish there was another way honestly I do but there isn't and mason chokes out a when are you going and frank says tomorrow this was the last day of my badges if I was coaching or we had a match tomorrow and I didn't do my badges i wouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football game or training centre Chels included but I promise that even if I failed my exams they can't stop me from owning Chelsea I just can't manage or coach the team until the badges are renewed and mason clutches his chest and says I can't loose you lamps I can't and frank said I promise mase you won't lose me but I really do need you to take nice deep breath's for me yeah and the second Frank makes contact with mason I physically see the band snap within mason and his breathing increases and he begins shaking and Frank says mase easy mate come on slow down your breathing I need you to do what I do okay can you do that mase and Frank sits mason up and rubs his back and he starts doing slow deep breaths and mason starts to copy frank and slow his breathing down slightly and Frank says well done mase you're doing amazing keep that breathing nice and slow and steady keep copying me now like you do on the pitch yeah and mason sniffles out what will happen if you don't pass your badge and licensing exams and Frank says then I have to wait for a re sit day and retake the exam I failed and mason said well they would be an idiot if they failed you oh god this is my worst nightmare I hate stupid football regulations and lamps said yeah me too but when I pass the exams I can literally come right back and then I promise you that you will be back in my group and on match days I'll be in the dugout swearing and cheering like usual and mase let's out a small laugh and mase said this is going to be a long two weeks and Frank said yeah but you've done worse with injuries and your teeth and mase said kinda different you were still here to keep an eye on things and be there if we needed you and Frank said I know mate I know but im gonna need you to keep the lads in line for chris and make his job a bit easier okay and mason nods and frank said I know my clubs in safe hands and mason said not till you pass your courses and exams it's not yeah Chris is alright but he's only chels by default his blood is red he may love chels but he doesn't understand it and lamps said i know mase that's why I'm glad my captain is going to be there for him he's seen me training you boys enough to know how I want you playing and training and he knows what you are capable of so he doesn't need to do that much work you boys make it easy and mase said yeah because it's you lamps you know what's needed on the field you know what you want from us I'm sorry but this is fucking bullshit I don't want to do this and mason gets up and runs off and lamps said should I go or should you and I said he needs you more right now your his comfort go and frank looks back and I say honestly im fine go and lamps heads off in search of mase and Kai closely followed by timo came into my office and say hey lynds you okay and I said yeah I'm fine and timo said mase is gonna be okay yeah and I said it's going to hit him hard and he's going to struggle but we will get him through it together and Kai said umm lynds what signs do we look out for with errr mase and umm and I said Kai babe it's okay you mean with mases mental health yeah and Kai looks down and nods sadly and I say mase will become very withdrawn so if he disappears from training or from a match then that's a sign that mason is spiralling and Kai says right got it timo would you be mad if i said i want mase to be my Best man I'm just thinking if I have mase as my best man it gives me the chance to try and keep mason distracted with stag and wedding plans and timo says what ever is needed besides as long as I'm a groomsman I'm good with that and plus I'm only in it for the food and sugar and kai smacks timo and timo says umm owww and I say boys let's not act like kids now and good plan Kai or even if you say about the odd occasional extra training time anything you can think off whatever works and both boys say got it boss and I said if needs be we will text plans and go from there and the boys said yeah definitely and I say right get your selves home and sorted we will take it step by step and both boys hug me and say we're here for you too remember that yeah especially since your practically carrying the heir to the Chelsea crown and a potential future captain and I stroke my bump softly and say we know that boys and I don't want you two tired at tomorrow's training session so home now please and Kai and timo both say that will never not be scary but okay call or text us if you need anything okay we love you and they both hug me and then my phone began buzzing and I see a text message from Frank ( Super frank 🎖️) heya lynds found mase he's in pieces and in the academy building but he's physically alright I'll bring him back over with me 😫 ( lynds ❤️) heya lamps glad you found mase take your time but don't make it any worse for either of you because it's not worth it do you want me to come over or can you manage him 😗 (super frank🎖️) we should be good me and Morgan have got him be over now ☹️ (lynds ❤️) okay I've sent everyone home now and Kai and timo are drawing up plans to keep mase level as much as we possibly can 🫤 and soon enough my red faced and puffy eyed husband appears in my office door and I immediately walk over and hug him and he sniffs into my neck and I say it's alright babe let's go home and have a good old takeaway and cuddles and mason says says just what i fancy other than you of course and I say well done baby that's the mase we want and mase says I really have to say bye now don't I and I say yeah gorgeous but it's 14 days and you've got a nephew to train and mason said yeah yeah true and mason and lamps both sigh sadly and hug and lamps says I'll be back before you know it mase I promise you and you have my number if you need anything use it please okay do you promise and mason nods and frank says need a little bit more convincing from ya mase and mason says yeah I promise you if you haven't blocked my number by the end of your course I'm benching myself and lamps says good boy see you when I'm back and mase takes my hand as I locked my office and lamps said my office keys incase you need anything from there and I say okay I'll look after her and I rub the Chelsea emblem key ring and I say come on then gorgeous we've got pizzas to order and we head to the car and mason gets in and leans against the window and I hear his gentle sniffing and I just rub his leg When I get the chance and mason heads straight upstairs and into our room and Grace said it's hit him hard then love and I say it's hit them both incredibly hard and Grace said aww bless them and I said yeah I just hope it's a fast two weeks and then hopefully things will go back to normal for everybody we've got Kai and Timo trying to figure out wedding ideas and possibly spending some extra time training or just anything to keep mase level as possible but we all know that there's going to be cracks added to the one that started today and Grace said all mason has ever known is Frank and Chelsea so to take one out of the equation is going to be hard for him but at least the boys will be there for him and he knows that think it's just the initial goodbye which we all knew would be the worst part and the most painful thing for mase and grace said yeah I'll make you some sandwiches so you can eat them as and when no point in giving mase hot food and I said actually Mase wants pizza so although not exactly healthy at least it's filling and grace said fair enough he will burn it off tomorrow anyway and knowing my darling son the way I do I have no doubt he'll be up for the " extra training " with Kai and timo and I say yeah he probably will and I head into the kitchen and wash out my bottles and my snack box I'd sort masons out later and I head upstairs to our bedroom and mason is in the shower and I sit down on the bed and scroll through my phone and I get so engrossed in my phone that I don't feel mason wrapping his arms around me and a kiss is placed on my temple and I say heya baby good shower and I feel mason nod into my hair and mason says I'm ordering a large chicken pizza and cookies and I say mmm yumm lush choices babe I'm gonna have a mighty meaty and chocolate fudge ice cream I think and mason say's also a very good choice and I say well you order that and I'll wash and sort your kit out and then your snack box and your drinks bottles so they are ready for me for the morning and then I'm getting in the bath before our food arrives and then me and you aren't leaving our bed and mason says my favourite sentence and I laugh and I head downstairs with masons kit and put in to the washing machine and then I sort out masons snack box and his drinks bottle and then I head back upstairs and start running my bath and then I get my favourite pjs and place them in the bathroom ready to put on after my bath and then when my baths filled I get in and settle down and just embrace the cozy relaxing atmosphere and the warm comfort of the water until it chills down enough and I get out and dry myself off and then I get into my pjs and then head back into the bedroom and mason says perfect timing gorgeous food's about 2 minutes away so get comfortable and I'll bring up the drinks and food and sure enough just as I found the ultimate comfortable position mason returns with our food and drinks and mason gets himself into bed and I say ahh perfect my favourite person in my favourite place with our favourite food this is bliss and mason said yeah definitely a much needed pick me up and nothing says ultimate pick me up more than you and food and our bed and I rest my head on masons chest and allow my eyes to drift shut to the feeling of Mason playing softly with my hair and placing kisses on the top of my head before he gently repositioned us and I eventually felt Mason's breathing even out signalling he too had fallen asleep
