Mason's pov
I'd woken up slightly before my alarm as today we had to take lynds back to the hospital to make sure her leg is healing properly and make sure none of her stitches are damaged or infected baby it's time to get up for your hospital appointment we both have our breakfast and a drink and brush our teeth and then we get dressed and ready to go then me and mum help lynds into the car I hold her hand in an attempt to cover up my nerves and offer her some reassurance and she looks at me taking both of my hands in hers and says mase it's going to be okay it's just a quick check up and then I'll be done . I know i just hate the fact your even going through this in the first place it's not fair It should be me it should have been me that got attacked not you but I was trying to perfect what I was going to Say to ask you to be mine if I had just planned it in my head on the way I would have been at the field quicker so I could have protected you so it's my fault i choke out. Baby look at me don't even think about blaming yourself for this it's not your fault and if it had have been you in this position it could've affected your football career and I would have felt horrifically guilty that I ruined your dreams so don't you even dare blame yourself ok you're here with me now and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon okay your mine for life but I love you so much and I always will she says before she gives me a kiss and me and mum help her into the hospital and make our way over to the waiting area after checking in and 20 minutes later lynds is called in to see the wound care team
Hiya lynds how are you feeling the nurse says and lynds reply's with im doing ok good keeping off this leg I hope the nurse asks . Yeah my boyfriend and his family are amazing and are treating me like royalty I couldn't have wished for anyone better to recover with and lynds squeezes my hand and flashes me her perfectly warm smile and then the nurse says sit up on the bed and she can look at the wounds and what I see makes me feel sick all over again and my mind instantly races back to the moment I saw her in the hospital and my mums words on a echoing loop lynds on her way to hospital she's been attacked swirling around like a grey cloud that won't lift my perfect girlfriends leg with small circular bruises and a large cut surrounded with bruising running Down most of her thigh i rapidly blink away the tears and as if she knows lynds squeezes my hand and then the nurse then says she's confident that the scarring will be minimal and cleans it up and reapplies some dressings and then tells lynds she's okay to leave we both head out of the hospital and mum gets us both a subway for lunch and we head back home me and lynds have been doing our school work for the rest of the afternoon and I have one final extra math sheet to do as a compromise for the after school detention mums trying to get me and lynds out and placed with another maths teacher but still stay together and the head master says he's going to get us together for all our lessons and nothing fills me with more joy than that so when we go back we're relaxed and can carry on with our education . Lynds is finishing up the final task on her history task and I'm finishing up the dt sheets .Lynds can I ask you about something .of course you can you can talk to me about anything so what's wrong babe. I know it's all I go on about but would you be mad if I said I don't want to join the schools football team I say nervously . Baby why would I be mad about you not wanting to do something you don't want to she softly say. Because it's football and the chance to play regular matches.babe I just want you happy so if you don't want to play football for the school don't but you make sure it's for you that your doing it for.well it is mainly me but a major thing is I don't trust those players as it's one of that lot that you got attacked by and I'd rather play for my local team that are more respectful and what football should be about rather than tackling the entire pitch. Well Weather you play in the schools team or the local team I'm so bloody proud of you mason it won't matter as long as I have your name and your number on my back so you can be on the pitch knowing that I've got your back and I love you so much it's crazy she says with a sparkling smile and i immediately give her a hug and then I give her a kiss and say thank you baby with your support that's greater than any school league games knowing that I've got a beautiful smart and incredibly brave girl on the side line makes it all worth it and I love you so much and I can't thank you enough for being the best part of my life I'd choose you over football always baby I hope you know that I say and she responds with baby I hope you know that I never want you to choose between me and football id only think I was holding you back from following your dreams she said. God have I told you how much I love you and how incredible you are and lucky I am to have you. You may have mentioned it once or twice she says with a smile and I take her in my arms and give her a kiss relaxed and incredibly fortunate to have her by my side where I want her to stay forever

Lynds's pov
I feel mason shifting around and beginning his routine of waking me up by gently stroking my arms and shoulders and softly saying baby it's time to get up and ready for your hospital appointment and I wake up and have breakfast and get ready to leave mason and grace help me out and into the car and we make our way I could sense something wasn't right with mason by the way he's holding my hand mase it's going to be okay it's only a quick check up and then I'll be done . He then tells me he knows and he hates the fact I'm even going through it and that it should be him in my place . I instantly take both his hands into mine and say baby don't even think about blaming yourself none of this is your fault because if it had been you in my position it could've affected your football career and that would have made me feel horrifically guilty that I ruined your dreams so don't you even dare blame yourself ok you're here with me now and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon okay your mine for life but I love you so much and I always will before giving him a kiss and before we know it we had arrived at the hospital and whilst grace checked me in mason helped me over to the waiting area we were there for 20 minutes before a nurse called me in and asked how I was I said I was fine and she said she hoped I was staying off my leg and I said I was and that mason and his family have been amazing at looking after me and treating me like I'm royalty i truly couldn't have wished for anyone better to recover with I say with a great deal of pride and squeeze masons hand I'm then told to sit on the bed and the nurse begins removing the old dressings and the extent of the wounds becomes visible my leg covered in small stud sized bruises but the worst is the long cut that runs down a majority of my thigh and is surrounded by heavy bruising whilst the nurse cleans it up I noticed masons eyes fill with tears so I gave his hand a squeeze to let him know silently it's going to be okay and then the nurse says she's happy with how it's healing and she's confident that the scaring will be minimal before redressing it and letting me go and we make our way out of the hospital and grace stops off and gets us both a subway and then we head back to his and we spent the rest of the afternoon doing our school work I did some history sheets and mase did his dt sheets before mason says lynds can I talk to you about something he asks slightly nervous I know it's all I go on about but would you be mad if I said I didn't want to join the schools football team . Babe why would I be mad about you not wanting to join the school's team He then says because it's the chance to play in regular matches. Erm you might of mentioned it once or twice babe before mason gives me a kiss and pulls me gently into his side and there I stay for the rest of the evening and where I want to stay for the rest of my life
