I'd downed the water and quickly went downstairs grabbing a bacon sandwich and a drink of juice I grabbed my uniform and headed back upstairs and I immediately got into my shower and once that was done I headed to my sink to brush my teeth and do my hair and then I got into my uniform leaving my tie until last minute I still have plenty of time before me and lynds leave so I decided to think about how I could ask her to be my girlfriend I'm not sure how to say this but how do I tell you as the most perfect person I've ever met that I'm in love with you and have been for so long but I'm terrified that you don't feel the same all I want in life is you I want to go on tones more beach dates and ask you to prom and have my suit match your dress and i want you to be the one who I pick a home with and come back to after training and international duty just like we talked about and have our regular film nights every night I want you to have my surname and be my wife and hopefully the mother to our beautiful children I want this with you and only you just like it already has been I love you more than anything in this world even more than football I'd give it all up for you but you deserve the world as your the centre of mine .and with that I looked at the time grabbing my bag pulling out the detention form for mum to sign and headed downstairs unawares that the girl who I had just spent 5 minutes thinking about asking for her to be my girlfriend had heard me rehearse the speech I'm yet to give her . When I got downstairs I gave mum the detention form and said she needed to sign it and my planner too which she did but not before asking what on earth was I thinking about lashing out at a teacher and hitting another student. I don't care what you say mason tony mount the minute you get home from school tonight you and me are having a chat about your attitude and behaviour recently yeah alright mum I say and me and lynds both head out the door and to school I was just glad I had a few good lessons today and then get through my detention and I was done for the day as always me and lynds walked arm in arm but this time it was me asking her what was bothering her. Hey lynds slight role reversal here but I can't help noticing that your slightly out of sorts is everything ok whats up i ask her tentatively and listen to her reply in the hope it's nothing serious but what follows breaks my heart .

once me and mase had started our journey towards school arm in arm no matter how hard I tried I couldn't help but think that masons arm would soon be linked with another girls arm and the one who's captured the attention of my best friend and secret love . He clearly noticed as he asked me a similar question to the one I asked him hey lynds bit of a role reversal here but you don't seem like yourself.Yeah I'm ok mase just dreading English later and worrying that I'm not good enough I'm so stupid so it's no surprise really.I'm not good enough for anything or anyone I'm not smart like Charlotte or pretty like Nicole im not strong like you I'm exactly like Benjamin says An a dumbass that can't do anything for herself so you shouldn't feel like my best friend and more like my career i say with watery eyes why do you all bother with me I just drag you down and I'm the reason you have detention you would all be better off without me. I sniff and swallow the tears that threaten to fall again. Masons arm suddenly unlinks from mine and my mind instantly thinks this is how I loose him he then stands in front of me and says what on earth do I mean and that I can't ever think like that .Mason then says he's glad he's serving a detention for me and that he'd serve many more for me I breathed a small sigh of relief but my mind still couldn't process the fact mason was in love with someone else .and all too soon we had arrived at school and we headed in to tutor and had our planners checked and mase had his detention form signed and then we just sat and chatted about our next adventure as I wasn't sure how many more we would have as just a duo we then headed to our first lesson of the day and that was French me and mase automatically got seats together and we both had a good lesson and next came religious studies we both got through that and then we had our break and we made the most of the sun and shared our food like we were on a mini picnic and in our own little world I was determined to make the most of it i hope the mystery girl makes mase feel the way he makes me feel my protector my comfort my reason to smile the best friend I could ever wish for just as my thoughts got too deep I was pulled back to reality by the bell infoming us we had a pe lesson so off we went to change into our pe kits I had running and to masons joy his group had football after pe we had our first lesson apart I had music and mason had drama and the entire music lesson I couldn't help but think about mason knowing we were coming up to English and getting closer to masons detention I had already told him I'd wait until he had finished his detention so he wasn't alone as I felt responsible for him getting his detentions anyway luckily enough the bell sounded and I rushed to get out of the class and back to masons side and headed to the dreaded English lesson to end off the day
