Today was the day of my doctors appointment to review my medication and see if I could get clearance to return to training fully i was feeling hopeful and desperately wanting to be back on the field I knew that a routine would be good for me and I was desperate to wear the armband for now I had a point to prove I'm captain of my life and I can control my mental health just as much as I can control my teammates and I look over and lynds is quietly sleeping and I place a soft kiss to her temple and I stretch my arms and shake my shoulders and grab a hoodie and quietly slip pass a sleeping bree and I head downstairs to mum making a drink and she says morning love you alright and I say yeah I'm okay mum just thought I'd make the most of waking up now and grab an extra coffee before I leave and she says why you off somewhere love and I say it's my meds review and I'm hoping to get the approval to come off of them and go back to training and playing again and mum says aw sweetheart that would be good wouldn't it I'm sure you'll be fine love so in which case would you like some cereal or something and I say ooo a bowl of coco pops please mum and she says right here's your coffee love and I'll bring your breakfast in and mum says does Frank know it's your medication review and training/match clearance appointment and I say no if it goes well I wanna surprise him and she says fair enough love and soon I hear the footsteps of my wife who's talking to bree and I give them a kiss and say good morning my beautiful girls and Lynds says you Seem really happy this morning baby and I say hopefully darling I can get my clearance to go back to training and playing matches and I can stop my meds and lynds said ohh so nothing majorly special then ehh baby and i laughed and said nahh not really ehh and lynd's said I'm so excited for you baby we both are bree can obviously tell her daddy's back to being a superstar and world class footballer and lynds says what time is the appointment baby and I say 9:30 so I'm just waiting for my kit to dry and then I'll pack it up and I'll pop up into the shower and get ready and then we'll head to the appointment and all being well we can go to cobham and I can train again properly and she says with how well you've done darling I have no doubt you will be back in training later does lamps know and I shake my head and say no I was hoping that I could surprise him but in a nice way this time and I laughed at the memories and the dryer stopped and I grabbed my warm kit and folded it up into my training bag and then headed up for a shower And I sprayed a bit of dry shampoo into my hair I'd worry about washing it after training hopefully and when I was done I brushed my teeth and washed my face and popped a chewing gum in and got dressed into a tracksuit and Lynds said looking good babe now for my turn bree's had a brekkie bottle so she's having a nap and is alright and I'll be down in a second have you taken your last tablet baby and I say I'm just going to take it now and I head to the kitchen and grab the box which will hopefully no longer be part of my daily routine anymore and I popped the tablet into my mouth and swallowed the tablet and said bleugh yuck glad that's done and swilled my mouth out with water and lynds came back down and said well done gorgeous now let's get you to the doctors shall we and I nod and we make our way to the doctors surgery again and do like we did before and waited in the waiting room and a few short minutes later I heard mason and dr hugh stood in his doorway and me and lynd's stood up and went through and dr hugh said take a seat guys how are you doing mason he said and I responded with I'm doing so much better now i really feel so much happier than I did when we first saw each other again and dr hugh says that's brilliant mason so you feel that the medication helped yeah and I said it started it yeah but my incredible wife and family and work family did the rest of it which is what I want to do now and dr hugh says well obviously the medication isn't football League approved so you can only go back to training for a while until it's out of  your system and mason says that's fine so im clear to return to training duty and dr hugh says yes mason you most certainly can and if you feel like you need it again we can always pop you back on them for as long as needed okay and and I say thanks dr hugh and before we leave he says good luck mason you'll be fine though and I take lynd's hand and we walk out of the surgery and I jump up and down and say I can train again baby and lynds say I'm so very proud of you mason I knew you'd get there come on let's reunite you with your other love and family yeah and we head off to cobham and the exact same level of excitement that I felt driving up this road matched that of the day I joined the academy and luckily enough we were the first ones here so lynd's went to her office while i went to change while I sent mum a quick text (mason 🔵) hiya mum I got the all clear I can train again so see you after training love you ❤️ xx and within a few minutes my phone chimes with a text (mum🦋) aww mason love that's wonderful news glad you got the approval so happy for you love and love you too sweetheart ❤️xx and then I put my phone in my locker and changed into my full training kit god I'd missed it so much everything felt brand new again and soon enough I could hear frank and Kai approaching so I stood tucked behind the door and kai and Frank came through and said heya lynds and lynd's waved back not speaking as she was eating some biscuits and I quietly removed my football boots and snuck a little further closer and then I heard timo and Chloe arrive and timo said well baby I guess our little bubble had to burst eventually huh and Chloe says its only for a few hours though teems have fun babes I'll see ya laters okay and they kiss and kai teases and says awww little timo in love and timo flips him off whilst laughing and kissing Chloe again and when kai and timo run past me while play fighting and without spotting me I smile and then 10 minutes later they both reappeared in their kits and were headed to the training pitch and I tip toe behind them and when we are on the grass I put my boots back on and poke the laces down the side and Kai and timo and Frank begin warning up and I yell surprise and a chorus of screams bellow around the training field and Frank says for fucks sakes mason why me ehh with a laugh and Kai and timo both smile and say mase really and Frank says hang on full kit and I say yep I've been signed off by my doctor to return to training I can't play in matches yet because the meds will still be in my system but I'M BACK GUYS and frank comes straight over and gently taps my shoulder and says that is for scarring the absolute fucking shit out of me and then he hugs me and says welcome back mase we are beyond ecstatic to have you back and Kai and timo say aw mason it's really nice to have you back matches have been shit without you kai says and I say why Kai you've won loads and timo said yeah we might of won but no one was there to kick off at the ref and if they did it was never as good as when you scrap with the ref and I laughed and said well at least I'll be able to have more power now and timo and Kai both say why and I say err bit of respect when you are addressing your captain please and Kai and timo say woah captain holy shit mase that puts you at you being our youngest ever skipper and I say that it does and Frank says right boys off for your laps and me kai and timo head off to do as instructed and then Frank gets us doing a simulation of a penalty shootout and we've all got to take a shot off our weaker foot and then one off our stronger foot with Frank being in goal first and timo was up first and timo chips the bar with his weaker side and missed with his strong side and Frank says nice shots timo but does anyone know what went wrong and I said he came to the ball with to much curve and Frank says good observation mase can you try and I walk up and place a ball on the spot and say right there we go and I say ready and Frank nods and I take the shot on my weekside and the ball goes through franks outstretched arms and then he rolled the ball back to me and I stopped it with my foot and took a step back and then I made contact with the ball and it flew straight into the net and Frank said two beautiful shots mase but next time tie your laces up and I say Ahh thanks boss and is it a bit preppy of me to say I've missed being told off for undone laces which to be fair I didn't know had come undone and Kai said nahh it's good to have ya back bro and they were classy shots and Kai stood up to take his and he hit the tinniest part of net and then the corner of the bar with his next and I say you used your foot Kai try the midfielder way mid field middle of leg and Kai looked at me slightly confused and I say ready frank and he nods and I take the shot and it goes into the top corner and down behind Frank and Frank says you really did study me huh mase and I said Frank I studied you more than I studied my textbooks from school and lynds says he ain't lying lamps and she says that's for you by the way and hands him an envelope and he thanks her and frank said oh mason honestly you terror but what mase means kai is midfielders way means put the power through your hips and then your foot will control the balls direction and timo try's and scored the exact same way I did and Kai tried and missed one and said go in at a slight angle and then do like me and timo have done and it's a guaranteed goal and Kai does like we said and sure enough the ball goes in and we hi five and repeat this for a while longer and then Frank blows his whistle and says and that gentleman concludes your training session today and some really lovely work right mase kai timo your on gym tomorrow okay kai Timo full gym mase we will start you with a half session and then you can build up to full gym sessions again alright and can you pop into my office when your all showered nothing to stress over I'm not going anywhere before you panic and we need to dig out a panic room and I laughed and said okay and timo said it's so much better having you back on the field mase you just seem to know exactly what to make the ball do your like some sort of ball whisperer and we all laughed and I said ahh it's been great to train properly again was worried you guys would replace me and both German boys looked at me and said shut up mount we could never replace you and we hugged again and headed into the showers and changed and then i went to franks office and knocked on the door and Frank said it's open mase and ya didn't need to knock mate and I say I'm knocking on your office door at work so I'm showing you respect and Frank smiles right in you come and take a seat we've got a return to matches to plan right so you can't play arseholes or the three point brigade so your first match will either be away to Norwich or away to Southampton take your pick and I say I'll take Southampton gotta keep that Portsmouth rivalry up and frank chuckles okay so what I'll do is sub you on for the second half and would you feel alright to play over at the academy just to give you the match day experience but without the pressure of a home crowd and get your confidence back and I say yeah that's fine I'll do whatever it takes and Frank says I know you will and he says and the next thing is I'm stealing you from your wife for a bit and taking you on a surprise trip so let's go and I stand up and say any idea baby and lynds says umm noo but you'll be fine I'll see you later baby okay and me and Frank head off and a few minutes later Frank says mason you trust me yeah and I say with every part of my body and Frank says then close your eyes and don't open them until I tell you and I do as instructed and close my eyes and I feel franks car pull to a stop and Frank comes around and guides me out of the car and we walk for a short while and Frank says a few steps up mase and Frank assists me up the stairs and then Says right slowly open your eyes and as I do so I reveal the pitch that belongs to Stamford bridge and frank says there's a ball it's up to you weather or not you put it in the back of the net but just get used to being on the pitch again and I say but I'm only in regular shoes and frank says ahh yeah you are hold on and he disappeared back down the tunnel and I sat on the centre spot and began twiddling some of the grass between my fingers and said hello old friend I've certainly missed you I've changed so much and you haven't im a husband and a dad while you still give me that drive to achieve more and I really want to do it so what do you think old friend ehh ready to add a few more chapters to your history book and I swear it felt like the electric instantly increased within the stadium and I said yeah I think we should too and Frank came out with Jody and jt and they both said hiya mase and Frank said fancy a kick about me and you vs them two and I say sure why not and Frank hands me a blue box and I open it to reveal my shirt and a pair of my boots and Frank put his shirt and boots on aswell and said feels right wearing the last ever top and Boots I played here in now come on I know my Protégé is in there somewhere let's find him yeah and we kick the ball and I gain control and spin around jt and shoot at the goal and since there's no goalie it's easier for the shots to go in and jt pats my back and says you definitely have studied lampsy ain't ya huh mase pity anyone who goes against you in a duel and I smile and say duh best one of the squad so to be the best you learn from the best and jt says what an actual suck up the boys practically a bloody hoover at this point ain't he and we all laughed and jt said nahh in all seriousness though I hope your doing alright mase and just cause I'm coaching your bestie now don't mean I've stopped caring about this place or you I'm always about if you need a spare set of ears yeah and I say cheers jt and Jody says same thing from me mase there's a hell of a lot of people here that care about you and it's really heartbreaking to see you or know that your struggling we've got your back always mase and Frank says remember Chelsea's a family and your a blue for life yeah and I nod and say thanks guys your all legends and we head off and I turn back and say see ya soon old friend I really have missed you and I head out to franks car and I say I needed that thanks boss and Frank said your welcome mase was nice to see you score back at the bridge and felt good to dust off my shirt missed playing at the bridge myself it's a wonderful place and I've definitely done a lot of thinking out there at times and now next time you stand on the pitch it will be like before yeah and I nod and but with a hell of Lot of fire we're going to have a rather full trophy cabinet boss and Frank said I love the sound of that mase and we got into Franks car and we headed home lynds had already gotten back and Frank said it's bloody good to have you back mase I've now got a good feeling about this season and I say I have too was a bit odd being back at the bridge since you've become owner and It was even more special being out there with you and Frank says thats the perks of ownership ya see mase 24/7 access to a floodlit pitch so if you need it it's yours just give me a call or a text yeah and I nod see ya tomorrow boss and thanks again and Frank says your welcome mase now relax a bit yeah don't over do it and I replied with I won't honestly and I head in and lynds says hiya baby everything alright and I said yeah I've just been reunited with the bridge and we had a tiny match me and Frank vs jt and Jody guess who won and I say ahh that deadly number 8 and number 19 midfielder combination again huh and I say yep keeping his legacy going kinda felt odd being there without out you though but it feels good to know I've got a couple of games planned at the academy and then my first match is Southampton away so I've got to make sure I'm at my best for then and lynds says and you will be baby I know you will and it's going to be amazing to see you back out on that pitch again and Just think how amazing it's going to be doing these matches over at the academy the role model those youngsters are going to have on the pitch with them and i know you'll be absolutely fine gorgeous let's get our captain back shall we as I believe I heard there were more perks to the captaincy something about more authority and more control so fancy showing me the new perks baby and I say gladly baby and we head up into our room and within seconds of me shutting the door I brace lynd's against it and kiss her all over gradually removing more and more of her clothing each time and placing kisses along her body and with each kiss that got lower lynds moans got deeper and longer and I say god mrs mount the things those noises do to me are unholy and lynds says through a pant mase your unholy this is incredible i love you so much I replied glad you are enjoying yourself baby and I love you so much and more too and we carry on with what we are doing for a fair while and when we were done lynd's went to the bathroom and freshened herself up and she then changed into shorts and a crop top and we cuddled up for a bit and we fell asleep and three hours later I'm the first one to wake up and I stretch my arms being mindful of lynd's sleeping on my chest who's eyes also begin to flutter open and she smiled softly up at me and said hey gorgeous and I said good evening baby good nap and she said yeah was really nice and I said yeah my nap was aswell and then our stomachs rumbled and our noses alert us to the scent of spicy chicken nuggets and chips making its way through the house and me and lynds both hum in delight and head downstairs and mum said have you got all your training kit ready for going in the wash darling and I say yeah just need to bring it down which I'll do once bree's in bed and mum says okay love just want to make sure you've got enough of your kit for your match and I say as long as I have a under shirt and a match shirt and shorts and my shin guard socks and short socks I'll be fine and mums said fair enough love and I said yeah It can be any of my pre match kits since it's only a academy game just to get my match stamina up a bit more so I can get ready for the Southampton away game and not look like I've never seen a pitch before especially since I'll be captain and mum said aww you looking forward to captaining then darling and I said yeah it's a huge honour to captain franks Chelsea it's going to give me fight and determination and focus so I can't go back to how i was i really am sorry for all I did mum i caused you so much worry and mum said mason enough I'm your mother I'll always worry about you baby I worry every time you set foot on the pitch and I worry every time you get in the car Im worried when your at training I just want you to know that even though I worry about you I'm beyond proud of you your a wonderful husband and fabulous dad and a mother's worries are always overpowered by her love for her family weather it's her children or her grandchildren now come here and I get up and go over to her and she hugs me and kisses me I love you so much my darling boy and I say thanks mum I love you too and bree begins to Stir from her sleep so I go over to her hiya baby girl enjoy your nap huhh shall dad give you a bottle and change you yeah and then fancy joining daddy for a run give your wonderful mummy some her time in peace and bree gurgles okay well then that's that decision made and i give bree a quick change and give her a feed and settle her in the pram and head out and I say I won't be long baby enjoy your pampering and I give lynds a kiss and head off and begin walking down to the park and a few minutes into my walk I hear a mase being called and I looked around and saw Chloe and I said heya chlo everything okay and she said yeah everything's fine sort of can I ask you something and I said yeah of course you can and Chloe noticed bree and said aww you've got bree with you which is kinda ironic because well as you know I'm desperate to have children and I know I definitely want them with timo but I don't want him to feel like it's too early in our relationship or that I'm stopping him from doing well in his career and I say chlo timo feels the exact same way about children look at me and lynds not even fresh off our honeymoon and we find out we were expecting little madam down here no time will ever be right for having children but children make everything right and if it's something you both want then that's all that should matter it's your choice no one else's and Chloe says thanks mase and bree wakes up and begins crying and I say and that's a sign that it's a pits stop for some food and Chloe says have you thought about having anymore after bree or is it going to be just her and I said we've always said two but who knows we could always end up with more but if lynds says two is all we have then that's her choice and Chloe says I'd love a little girl as boys seem scary and I say my sister was the same when she was pregnant but all she wanted was a healthy baby and turns out I had to help her have him as she went into labour while her boyfriend was away on a training course for his work and Chloe said ahh so your a midfielder and a midwife what is it about the mids ehh and I laughed and said umm not sure and Chloe said handy to know if I go into labour around you though that I've got someone with experience in situations like that and I say I was hoping it's a one time thing but if it happens yeah I know what to do and Chloe smiles and says thanks mason i appreciate the chat and I said no worries Chloe anything you need give me a shout but I promise you When you tell timo you want a baby he'll never let you leave the bed until you get pregnant and Chloe says Oooh and i say yeah he's genuinely desperate for children and Chloe says ahh maybe we might need to set up a creche at cobham for the babies then and I say I'm sure lynd's would happily keep an eye on your little one if your working and we're training and she says aww bless I appreciate that and bree let's out a yawn and I say and bree has the right idea home shower and bed ready for the match see you soon chlo yeah good luck not that you'll need it for anything and we hug see ya soon mase bye bree and then we go our separate ways and we arrive home shortly after and lynds says hiya my gorgeous man and lady and I give her a kiss and say hello baby and she says nice walk and I said yeah I saw Chloe and helped her figure something out brace yourself for a pending baby timo or Chloe announcement soon and lynds says aww that's cute I know that's what they both want and I said yeah chlo just needed the encouragement to tell timo as she felt unsure that he'd want a baby now with his career and hers and lynds said I couldn't wish for two more deserving people chlo and t are perfect for each other and I say yeah they are and me and bree both yawn and I say and bree's got the right idea time to change her and settle her down in bed and then shower and settle down in bed myself I've got a match to win tomorrow and lynds says okay gorgeous I'll be right behind you just finished packing your kit and doing your drink and I say see you upstairs baby and we kiss again and I pop a clean pj wearing bree in her cot and jump in the shower and allow my hair to naturally dry as I'd wash it in the morning and when I got out of shower and dried off and changed in to my pj bottoms I was met by lynd's already being in bed and scrolling through her phone and I got In beside her and gave her a kiss and fell straight to sleep feeling excited for tomorrows game
