The fleet of Koros-Strohnaworldships entered the galaxy in the northern quadrant at the very edge of the New Territories at the point codenamed Vector Prime. The advance force, the PraetoriteVong, undertook a series of clandestine operations to weaken the main invasion corridor. The Yuuzhan Vong planned to secure undefended worlds around Vector Prime to regroup and mass their forces, before advancing through the New Territories to the heart of the galaxy. This campaign would sever trade lines and allow them to identify a weak point in the defenses of the Core Worlds so that they could make a hook-shaped turn to take Hosnian Prime.
Belkadan

Belkadan is a forested planet located in the Dalonbian sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It was a world of tall dalloralla trees and small natural bodies of water.
Around 30,000 BBY during the Pre-Republic era, Belkadan was ruled by the Rakata which dominated much of the galaxy through their interstellar Infinite Empire. With the collapse of the Empire five thousand years later, the Rakatans retreated to their homeworld, leaving little trace as to how and why they left.
Millennia later, the Jedi Yuon Par, who specialized in the Jedi Order's pre-history, led expeditions to planets such as Malachor III, Belkadan, and Koros. Later, the government on Belkadan was overthrown and replaced with a puppet government that was loyal to the Sith Empire until freed.

On the planet surface was the company known as the Extragalactic Society, or ExGal for short.
The Extragalactic Society is an organization devoted to the search for life outside the galaxy. During the time of the Galactic Republic, it was a member of the General Ministry Institutes.
