Somewhere in the unknown regions of space, Darth Vader flew his Tie Advanced to the disturbance in the Force that every Force wielder had felt Light and Dark. His master felt it, the Inquisitors felt it, the Jedi they had imprisoned felt it, and he had felt it. Where he was heading felt like a Wound in the Force.
Grand MoffTarkin: Lord Vader shall I send forces to accompany you?
Vader: No. I shall investigate this myself.
Grand MoffTarkin: Very well. Shall we hold here?
Vader: Yes, I shall inform you if I require anything.
Darth Vader continued to fly down to the planet where he had felt the disturbance. It was a basic garden world on the outskirts of Imperial space. It was on the star charts, but had no major population, or even an official name. Vader landed by a cave and walked in. It felt like the Force was screaming here. He continued to walk forward as he felt the atmosphere pressure get a bit higher, and emerged out through an exit and looked around.
Vader: Hmm... Curious.
The cave had gone into the side of a mountain that seemed to be miles long, and he had only walked a few yards. He was about to walk back through when he sensed something. Almost like something calling out to him. He noticed what looked like a primitive settlement by Imperial standards and headed towards it.

Elrond: You shall be The Fellowship of The Ring.
The Fellowship began its journey knowing of the dangers. They had already seen the Ring Wraiths and what they could do. Who knew what could lie ahead?

Frodo noticed Gandalf was bothered by something. To Gandalf it was as if the world itself screamed out to him, and decided to investigate this later seeing the Ring as a more pressing matter, and for all he knew, it could be the Ring and Sauron's doing
Frodo decided not to ask, and continued on.
Meanwhile at Rivendell...
Elf Guard: "Hey do you see that?"
They saw a black figure approaching.

Elf Guard: Go tell the others.
The other guard went to tell Lord Elrond and the other guards.
Elf Guard: Lord Elrond we spotted a figure approaching cloaked in darkness.
Elrond: The Ring Wraiths wouldn't dare come here.
Elf Guard: That's just Lord Elrond we don't think it's-
The guard began to choke as he was lifted up into the air by an invisible force. The guard's neck snapped and his body fell limp to the floor, as the figure approached.
Elrond stood up facing the figure
Darth Vader: You had something of great power here. Where is it?
Elrond drew his sword
