¤ 3rd Point Of View ¤

As per usual, (Y/n) returned to see Sukuna at almost the same times every day for almost a week straight. Untill today that is, the first day in a while that she escaped during the morning rather than at night. Nobody would suspect the sudden change, not even her father. Speaking of her father, (Y/n) hasn't spoken to him for a while. The man was too furious to speak a word to ger due to her repeated escapes despite his useless warnings.

(Y/n) was in a rush today to get to the top of the hill today to see Sukuna, having great news to tell him that she had found out yesterday from Sero. Sukuna and her relationship has changed slightly since their first shared kiss. Sukuna was clearly more at ease with the princess, a bond strengthening between them that Sukuna hadn't realised he needed. It felt nice being this way with the princess, despite the fact he had yet to adress anything about this new bond they shared.

"Sukuna! Great news!" (Y/n) exclaimed, running up the hill at full speed, ignoring the sharp pains in her chest. She smiled after seeing Sukuna sitting in his usual spot, making her hurry towards him with a scratchy throat. The moment she managed to stand beside him, blood left her lips. She fell onto her knees as she coughed the crimson liquid out of her throat which obstructed her breathing.

The girl's fingers were intwined with the grass, gripping hard onto it as she coughed. Sukuna couldn't keep his eyes off her, worried for her wellbeing but too prideful to say a word on the matter. It wasn't long before (Y/n) realised that he was staring making her shake her head and her hands at him assuringly.
"S-sorry, just give m-me a second." She coughed out, trying to cover her mouth so that the blood wouldn't sicken Sukuna.

Even now, as she still tried to smile, Sukuna couldn't understand her. In a way the two were the same, not wanting to show weakness to others. He wanted her to understand that she could be weak infront of him, because he knew she was exactly that the day they met. Sukuna gave the princess a few seconds to compose herself but sighed when he noticed that she was becoming pale.

Sukuna averted his eyes as he tried to talk himself out of what he was about to do. But the moment his hand reached out to the girl, he knew that there was no stopping him. Sukuna placed a hand on (Y/n)'s head, pulling her to lay it on his lap. He couldn't even look her in the eyes as he done something so out of character. The man almost regretted it- but the moment her breathing started to regulate, he became proud of himself.

The two sat in silence for a few minutes, Sukuna waiting for the girl to recover and during that time thinking of an excuse for the comment he knew she would make on the matter. When her breathing slowed and the coughs ceased to be an issue, Sukuna looked down at his lap where the princess was already looking up at him with a tired smile, her cheek pressed against his leg.

"That was nice of you." She teased softly, her voice still scratchy from all of the coughing and heaving.
"I did it so you would shut up!" Sukuna snapped, thinking of the first excuse that came to mind despite the multiple minutes he spent literally thinking of believable retorts to say back.
"Right." (Y/n) chuckled out, her tone of voice clearly suggesting that she didn't believe him.

Even so, (Y/n) didn't continue to tease the man, too exhausted from her fit of coughs. Instead, she go comfortable on Sukuna's lap, twisting her back so that say was laying on her side on the grass with her head leaned on Sukuna's thigh. As much as he wanted to snap at her, Sukuna let her do what she wanted, not having the heart to make her sit up. And as much as he hated to admit it, he liked being so close to her.

"-As I was saying, I've got great news. The tanabata festival is next week." (Y/n) happily told the man, her voice not nearly as loud with excitement as it had been when she first arrived but her excited smile definitely made up for the lost auditory enthusiasm.
"And?" Sukuna asked boredly, not seeing the relevance of this random piece of knowledge.
