Everyone was now in their seats around the large table, everyone other than Sam who was stood up front by the giant monitor screen. He had began to talk about setting up a programme. He said that they were bringing in a handful of new younger recruits and would train them up along side me, America, Kate, Peter and Yelena. He called it the Young Avengers initiative, we would still be Avengers and fight along side them and everything, it's just a training programme to train the young avengers up to the same level as the rest of them. It's not like Peter and I didn't fight Thanos but I'm not the boss.

After he had explained the Young Avengers, Sam sat down and Clint took his place. The screen changed to a bunch of different files and information. This only meant one thing. A mission.

"So. By the looks on all of your faces, I'm assuming you're aware that we have a mission. We've been tracking Hydra since Y/n and Kate were taken. Rumlow went under the radar when we got Y/n back, but he has recently been sighted just outside of Sokovia 2 weeks ago. He has been searching for this chemical that's used for mind control, we can only assume that he wants Y/n back under is control again, so we must stop him. He has many people held hostage at this building," Clint pointed to a building on a map of sokovia, "our mission, is to free the hostages safely, retrieve the chemicals and take in Rumlow. Y/n, you are to stay here with Kate, America and Peter, where it is safe."

"WHAT?! No, I can help I'm coming with you." I stated standing from my seat.

"It's not up for discussion. He wants you, if he manages to capture you, he will have you under control and we don't know if we could bring you back. You are not going. Do you understand!" Clint said with a serious tone. I understood that he wants to protect me but I can really help them on this mission.

"Clint please I ca-" I started before I got cut off.

"Y/n don't. He's right you should stay." Kate said, gently taking hold of my arm and pulling me back down into my seat.

I sat down and looked at her. She looked deep into my eyes, her hand not leaving my arm.

"Please don't risk your life on a small mission. I nee- we.. need you with us. Please, just. Stay." She said softly. She meant every word, I could tell by the look in her eyes.

My eyes flicked between Kate's eyes. I simply nodded and said quietly, "okay."

She took her hand off my arm and turned her attention back to Clint, was looking at us with pure confusion. He didn't say anything, just shook his head like he was trying to get rid of thoughts and got back to explaining the rest of the missions details.

The team broke off. Everyone who was on the mission went to the weapons room to suit up and grab stuff they needed.

Peter, Kate, America and I stood and watched as they all entered separate Quinn Jets in groups of 5. The jets took off and we waved as they shot into the sky. The four of us went back inside and went up to the open bar in the top deck where we had the party.

"Okayy, now that the old people are gone, why don't we...hit up some shots!" Kate said from behind the bar, grabbing some shot cups and vodka.

"Um, no. I don't think that's a good idea." Peter said sitting n the bar stool.

"Come on, they're gone for what a couple of weeks. We might as well live a little." She said pouring four shots.

"Kate. No stop. America is 18 she can't drink." I said sitting down.

"Woahh, Y/n. I'm from a different universe, how do you know where I am from I can't drink." She said, pretending to be offended.

"Can you?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"Well no, but so what. Don't be boring y/n!" She said grabbing a shot glass and drinking it. She instantly pulled a face and coughed a little, "that's gross."

Peter, Kate and I all took a shot.

"It's not that bad." I laughed.

After a few hours of taking shots and messing around, we decided to sit out by the fire pit and have some chip and dip. America was pretty drunk, but the rest of us were just a little tipsy.
Everyone was laughing, but I sat in a small arm chair quiet, with my own thoughts.

"Oh do you remember that one time I tried to backflip I got he pool drunk and I ended up belly flopping." Peter said laughing.

"Oh shit yeah, I remember you're nose started bleeding and y/n had to shove toilet paper up your nose to stop it." Kate laughed.

"Hey, y/n/n, you alright?" Peter stopped laughing and asked me.

I looked over at the three who stared at me waiting for an answer.

"Hm? Yeah, yeah I'm good." I said taking a sip of my cider.

"You sure-" Peter said.

"Yeah. Um, I'm gonna go in it's getting late. You guys should to." I said quietly before walking off inside.

"Peter, make sure America gets to her room safely. I'm gonna go see if she is alright." Kate said standing up from her chair.

"You think that's a good idea? You know, with everything?" He asked her.

"I need to talk to her anyways, so yeah. Night Peter." She said leaving the deck.

Kate's POV

I stumbled a little on my way to Y/n's room. I found the door that was next to mine and knocked on it. The door opened with blue magic, revealing y/n laid on the bed.

She was laid with her back facing the door. Her head was on her pillow with her right arm under the pillow and her other on top.

"Heyy. Y/n/n? You awake?" I called to her softly.

"Mhm" she hummed not moving.

"Is it okay if we talk?" I asked moving a little bit closer to her.

She sat up and rubbed her hands over her face. She looked at me with tired eyes and half smiled at me, then patted the bed next to her. I walked over and sat down. She kept her eyes on me.

"A-Are you okay? It's okay if you don't want to talk, but I'm here for you." I started.

"Um honestly, yeah and no. Like I'm fine and all, just I- I don't know what to do. Like it might be the alcohol doing this but, Kate fuck I can't stand acting like I hate you. 'Cause I dont, I really don't and I'm so sorry for being such a bitch to you-" she started rambling on.

"Y/n no I should be the one apologising after everything I did. And I really am sorry, I was just so mad that you thought of me as a cheater and the way I acted was so dumb." I said, tears beginning to form in my eyes.

"I miss you so much Kate. I know you're sorry... I can see it in your eyes every time you look at me. I just can't stop seeing you with him." Y/n said, her voice breaking a little at the last words.

"Y/n- I broke up with him. I told him the truth and told him I don't want to see him again. I know, it changes nothing but I- i want to start over with you. If you'll give me a second chance." I said softly.

A tear fell from my eye and Y/n reached up and wiped it away.

"Hey don't cry." She said, smiling at me, "I want you and only you. But it's gonna take time."

"Okay" I smiled back.

Y/n pulled me into a hug. I rested my head against her chest. I missed this so much. Her arms around me, her scent, just her.

A sudden *BEEP* broke us out of our hug. Y/n picked up her phone and opened the notification.

"What was that?" I asked.

"oh shit!" She exclaimed.

A/n: Finally, y/n and Kate are back on good terms. But the question is, what was the notification? Is it good, or is it bad? Read more to find out! Thanks for reading have a great day :)
