The shot she didn't take

"...this isnt goodbye..."

I walked out of the room with Kate following behind me.

"Clint, hold up!" I shouted to him.

"Yeah?" He said turning his good ear to face me.

"I- I'm gonna go out for a bit." I shouted.

"Okay, don't know why I needed to know. Bring me back some bandaids though." He asked.

"Sure." I said.

I turned around ready to go back into my room but Kate stopped me.

"Wait where are you going? We literally just got back." She asked.

"I uh- Kate it's complicated." I said trying to drop the subject.

"Oh my god. You've found her haven't you!" She said looking kinda surprised.

"Um- I- who?"

"Wanda.."

"Okay, yeah I have. That's why I gotta go."  I said walking past Kate and back into my room.

"Can I come with?" She asked.

"I don't think that's a good idea. I don't know if it's safe and I don't want you to get hurt." I explained.

"What? You don't think I can handle myself? If it's that, y/n you know I can!" Kate raised her voice slightly.

"No Kate! Just Wanda is probably one of the most powerful people I know. She could tear literally anyone apart with her mind!" I said shoving some clothes and some of my suits into a bag.

"Right? So you can go? Why you?" She asked crossing her arms.

"For one I have the same powers as her and two she's my best friend. If anyone can reason with her it's me...please Kate, I just want everyone to be safe." Fuck I hated lying to Kate but I know this is the only way I could go alone.

"How long will you be gone?" She asked quietly.

"I- really don't know." I said sighing, "just tell everyone I went up to Ohio to see Tasha. I'll be back when I can." I said slinging the bag over my shoulder and walking out to the balcony.

"What? No, y/n what if you don't come back. What the fuck do I do then?" Kate said walking behind me, "y/n I am not losing you again!"

"You're not. I'm just gonna be gone for a while."

"You don't know that." A tear rolled down Kate's cheek.

"I'm sorry Kate. I have to do this. This isn't goodbye okay..." I stood up on the railings and put my hands by my side summoning blue chaos magic at my finger tips.

"Is this it? No hug, no kiss no nothing. You're just gonna leave?" Kate said wiping her tears away just for more to fall.

"I'll kiss you when I'm back." I said with my voice breaking.

I turned around quickly and kicked away from the ground. I flew higher into the sky until I got  through the clouds. I couldn't look back. It broke my heart to leave her like that, but I knew that it would only hurt more if I didn't.

I stopped flying up and began heading towards Wanda's whereabouts,  using Friday as my gps.
I'll get to Wanda soon. Maybe this darkhold book can be good for me. I hope so anyways.
