(AUGUST POV)I walk into the training room where Lincoln and Bellamy are showing people how to fight. I lean up against the wall as I watch them. I couldn't help but stare at Bellamy's bare chest as his muscles flex. I then see Lincoln knock Bellamy down onto the mat which makes him angry. Bellamy quickly gets up and is able to land a good hit to Lincoln's stomach which causes him to slouch over slightly and back away. Bellamy runs forward before he jumps and punches Lincoln in the face. Bellamy starts to get a little cocky. Bellamy thinking that he has Lincoln goes to swing at him again but Lincoln grabs his arm and flips him. Lincoln pins the arm he had down before acting like he was going to hit Bellamy. I start clapping at a good show they did.
"He had Lincoln, but he was too aggressive," I say as I walk further into the room where everyone can see me. "He fought with his emotions which clouded his strategy." I look over at the recruits as I explain.
"Whatever you say," Bellamy says as he gets up and puts his shirt on.
"Quitting so soon?" Lincoln asks him."Mapping run, sector 7. Harper, let's get this over with," Bellamy says and Harper throws Lincoln a bag. "Council wants you to have that." Lincoln pulls out a guard jacket. I roll my eyes at the jacket. I may be against it but I am outnumbered by the other council members.
"I'm Trikru," Lincoln says.
"Uniform doesn't change that. This is our home now, Lincoln. We fought for it. Too many of our friends died for it," Bellamy explains to him. He then turns to the other recruits. "On the Ark, the uniform meant something different. Down here, it means what we make it mean together." He then turns back to Lincoln. "My sister will understand that eventually." Bellamy walks over to his things."No, she won't," I say before walking over to Bellamy.
"Pair up and fight, now," Lincoln orders the recruits before walking over to us. "Hey, sector 7, that puts you right at the ice nation border."
"Yeah. I know," Bellamy says as he grabs his own jacket.
"Just because Azgeda was part of the commander's coalition, doesn't mean they respect the cease-fire. I should be on that scout," Lincoln says.
"I wish," I tell him.
"We all do, but until the commander agrees to lift the kill order on you, you're more trouble than you're worth," Bellamy tells him."Don't worry too much. I'm going with them since someone still hasn't learned Trigedasleng," I say as I playfully glare at Bellamy. He rolls his eyes at me before pressing a quick kiss to my temple. We then go to talk with my father. Bellamy knocks on the door and my father turns to us before pressing a finger to his lips telling us to be quiet.
"This is the first sleep the chancellor's had in two days," My father explains as we look over and see Abby asleep.
"We'll be quick, then," I tell him.
"We're going into sector 7. I think we should arm the entire unit," Bellamy says.
"Permission granted, but the rules of engagement still apply non-lethal response," My father explains.
"Copy that," I tell him. We then go to leave the room.
"Bellamy, there hasn't been an attack since Mount Weather. It's been 3 months. Our people believe that this is real peace. Try not to screw that up," My father tells us.
"Yes, sir," Bellamy says as we all share a smile. We leave the room and head to hangar bay where the rovers are kept.
"Monty, why aren't you ready?" Bellamy asks as we walk in."I am. He's not," Monty answers as he looks at us and then over to Jasper. Jasper is passed out drunk underneath a table.
"It's your turn. I dealt with him last time," I tell Bellamy as I pat him on the shoulder before heading over to the rover. I watch as Bellamy and Monty drag Jasper over to the rover.
"Zeke, I said produce first. Art doesn't go bad," Gina calls out.
"Monty, he's all yours," Bellamy says before walking over to her. I can't help but roll my eyes. I hate to say it but I hate their friendship. "Hey, easy run?""I hate that place," Gina answers.
"I know," Bellamy says."Got you something, though," Gina says before she pulls a book out of the back of the rover. "You said your mom used to read this to you. Thought you'd like it." Oh, so they're that close.
"I do. Thanks," Bellamy says before walking over to the rover and dropping his bag on the hood.
"Hey! Take it easy," Raven calls as she rolls out from underneath the hood and I can't help but laugh.
"Good morning to you, too," Bellamy says to her before he tosses a gun to Miller who walks over.
"What's the point if we can't shoot them?" Miller asks.
