(BELLAMY POV)I haven't left August's side since she was shot earlier today. I can't believe that Pike actually shot her. I can't believe that she tried to warn the grounders. It's their fault that she is like this. It's always the grounders.
"It's time," Pike says and I look away from August to find him in the room.
"I'm not leaving her side," I tell him. It is my job to protect her but I keep failing.
"Abby said that she doesn't know if she is going to make it through the night," Pike says and I feel tears start to form in my eyes again. I start shaking my head no. "She lost a lot of blood and we don't have her type of blood to help her." I feel tears slip down my face. "It's time to go." The grounders will pay for this. I nod my head to Pike and he walks away.
"I'm so sorry," I whisper to August before placing a kiss on her forehead. "Don't stop fighting. I love you. May we meet again."
(AUGUST POV)
I wake up to my abdomen and shoulder being in a lot of pain. I open my eyes to find Octavia sitting beside me.
"O," I croak out.
"A, you made it. Thank the lord," Octavia says.
"Water," I say and she runs off. Octavia returns with a cup and Abby by her side. Octavia hands me the cup of water which I gladly drink.
"You gave us quite the scare," Abby says before she starts checking my wounds.
"Did they..." I start not wanting to bring myself to say it. "Did they go?" Octavia nods and my father enters the room. "We need to do something about Pike."
"There's nothing we can do with him being Chancellor," My father says.
"If we had an inside man then we could help the grounders have a fighting chance," I explain to him.
"And how are we going to manage that?" My father asks.
"Me," I answer him seriously.
"Pike just shot you for trying to warn the grounders. What makes you think he will trust you?" My father asks.
"As of right now, I don't need him to trust me," I answer him.
"Bellamy," Octavia says and I nod.
"Bellamy leads to Pike because Pike trusts Bellamy," I explain to my father.
"Let's do this," Octavia says and we look to my father. My father then nods in agreement.
"When can I leave?" I ask Abby as she finishes with my shoulder.
"Now. If you have someone escort you back to your room," Abby answers.
"I'm going to need some regular clothes before they get back," I say as I look to my father and Abby.
"I'll get you some," Abby answers.
"I'll take her to her room," Octavia says.
"This is the last time that we are going to really talk without being watched so good luck," My father says.
"If you need people to help you try Miller and Harper. They should help," I say and my father nods. Octavia then leads me to my room before leaving. Abby comes in a few minutes later with normal Ark clothing. I then fall asleep, as I think about my next move.
(BELLAMY POV)
Things did not go the way they should have gone on this mission. We return to Arkadia the next morning without a single injury. A few blood stains litter my vest but it isn't my blood. We walk through the gate and the only thing on my mind is if August had survived through the night or not.
"Bellamy, you okay?" Octavia asks me as she walks over to me.
