(AUGUST POV)Bellamy and I just returned to Arkadia and are getting out of the rover. I see my father walking towards us and I go give him a hug.
"Welcome back," My father says as he and Bellamy shake hands.
"August!" I hear Mika yell before I feel something collide with my legs.
"My little natblida!" I say as I pick her up. Thunder then sounds in the distance. It then starts raining.
"It hurts," Mika says and I look to Bellamy in panic as I try my best to cover Mika.
"Black rain," Bellamy says.
"Everybody inside!" My father yells."Black rain! Sound the alarm!" I yell.
"This is not a drill! Go inside the Ark! Go!" Bellamy yells before he grabs two jackets and turns to me. "Inside. Cover yourself. Take this." I quickly take a jacket and cover Mika.
"Everybody inside!" My father yells as he reaches Bellamy and I as we head for the ship."Kane, where's Octavia?" Bellamy asks.
"Leave your things! Everybody inside!" I yell. "Quickly!" I hear Mika sobbing against my chest. "I got you. I got you." Bellamy, my father, Mika, and I make it inside. I set Mika down and start stripping her.
"Here," Bellamy says as he throws a bottle of water to me and then one to my father. They start washing their hands off as I start washing Mika off. We can still hear yelling from outside. "Kane. Someone's outside."
"Come on," My father says."Be careful," I tell them before they disappear outside. Once I'm sure Mika is okay, I start stripping and washing myself off. My father and Bellamy then bring a hurt man inside. Two other people grab him before my father and Bellamy head for the barrels of water.
"I need to find Octavia," Bellamy says.
"She's not here. She took off hours ago," My father explains.
"I gotta find her," Bellamy says and heads for the door.
"Bellamy, look. We don't know where she went. You just got back, and the Rover doesn't have enough power to go searching through the woods," My father says.
"The rain will kill her," Bellamy argues.
"Bellamy, she's smart. You gotta trust that she found shelter, okay?" I tell him. Bellamy nods before he closes the door. I then turn back to Mika. "Are you okay? Is anything burning?""I'm okay," Mika answers and I pull her into a hug.
"Remember the drill. All wet clothing in the designated zone," My father orders as he and Bellamy make their way over and start stripping.
"How do we know everyone made it in?" Someone asks."My wife. She was outside the wall. I need to know if she's okay," A man says.
"Check in with your section leaders. We'll get a head count as soon as we can," My father orders.
"Hello? Can anyone hear me?" A man's voice comes over my father's radio."Quiet," I order as my father grabs his radio.
"Look, we're caught in the rain, and it burns. We're trapped in the rubble just north of the factory crash. Please. Can anybody hear me?"
"This is Chancellor Kane. I hear you. Can you hear me?" My father responds.
"Kane. Kane, it's Mark Colton. Look, please, my son is soaked with black rain. Please. You gotta help us. Hurry!" The man says. My father starts going around getting section head counts. I start helping the hurt while keeping an eye on Bellamy as he finds a suit and starts taping it on himself. I leave Harper to take care of Louis as I walk over to Bellamy. I look and make sure Mika is still sleeping where I left her before I grab the tape from Bellamy and help him.
"I know I'm not going to be able to talk you out this but," I say as I stop and look at him. "Just promise me that you will be careful and not play hero. Promise me that you will come back to me." Bellamy grabs my face in his hands and stares into my eyes.
