(AUGUST POV)While Jaha and Monty returned to Arkadia to tell our people the news of the bunker, my father, Mika, and I stayed behind with Indra and Gaia to help protect the bunker and wait for Clarke and Roan's arrival.
(BELLAMY POV)
Jaha and Monty showed up saying that they had good news. They had just returned from Polis which apparently is where August, Mika, and Kane are.
"There is an underground aquifer with a filtration system that is still operational. Some of the water will go to the hydroponic farm. Isn't that right, Mr. Green?" Jaha explains to us all.
"Most beautiful thing I've ever seen," Monty answers him before he turns to Harper. "Almost." Why is August never around when I need her most? She wouldn't be the girl I fell in love with if she was here.
"It won't be easy. There will be plenty of hard work to go around. But together we have struggled. And together we will rise," Jaha says and the crowd cheers. "Pack your things. Just what you can carry. We leave at first light."
"Jaha was right," I say to Monty as the crowd disappears.
"Got a lot of gear to pack. Sure you're not too hungover?" Monty asks."You judging me, Monty?" I ask him.
"A little," Monty answers. "I mean, what would August say or think?"
"There was no hope. Now there's hope," I defend myself even though I know he is right. "Let's go."
"Jasper, you're gonna love it," Monty says as we walk past him.
"Give him a minute. They'll figure it out when we take the still," I tell him.
"We don't need it. There's one in the bunker," Monty says before we head to go pack gear.(AUGUST POV)
Apparently, my father made a deal with Trikru, that Skaikru and Trikru would share the bunker, without my knowledge or consent. I sneak away from my father and Indra while my father prepares to leave to meet with Abby and Clarke. They would take Roan then. I have to warn Azgeda if I have any chance of making this work out for us all. I find where Azgeda is hiding and I am quickly surrounded by warriors.
"I am the Commander and Queen of Azgeda. I need to speak with Echo," I yell out.
"Why are you here?" Echo asks as she walks forward.
"You know I wouldn't be talking to you unless it was important," I answer her.
"Leave us," Echo orders. "Why should I listen to anything you say when Skaikru has broken our alliance and made one with Trikru?"
"That's why I'm here," I answer her. "My father made that alliance without speaking with me. You know as Heda I want what is best for all clans. So, trust me when I say that Skaikru plans on capturing Roan and leave Azgeda to die in Praimfaya."
"I'm listening," Echo says.
"Then help me do what is right for all of the clans by saving Roan," I tell her. We use the trees and make our way to where my father is meeting the others.
"Kane, don't," Clarke yells. She didn't know? "Roan!""Wait," I order as I watch Roan unsheathe his sword.
"Trikru," Roan says as they walk out of the trees. "What is this?""There doesn't have to be any violence," My father says.
"Now," I order. Azgeda archers drop from the trees and kill the Trikru warriors. Azgeda warriors run from the trees and capture Skaikru.
"Wait, stop!" My father yells as they are all tied up and gagged. I nod to Echo and we walk out to where we can be seen."Welcome back to Polis, my King," Echo says and everyone looks at me shocked.
"Heda," Roan says as he nods to me and Echo before he sends Clarke a glare. We then make our way back to Polis.
