(AUGUST POV)

Clarke and I decided to use the EMP on her mom that way she could help us.

"Can you hear me? I know you're in there. Come back to me. I need you," Clarke says as she cries. She had just used the EMP. Abby's eyes open as she takes in a big breath. "Hi."
"Clarke," Abby breathes out.
"Yeah. You're okay. You're okay. Here," Clarke says and we help Abby sit up. Abby and Clarke both cry as Abby remembers what she did to Clarke.
"Mom, we need your help," Clarke tells her getting her to calm down. Bellamy, Murphy, and Pike then enter the room. As soon as they see Abby they raise their guns.
"Hey, no. It's okay. We used the EMP. She's back," I say as Clarke and I push Abby behind us.
"Well, what about Ontari?" Murphy asks as they all lower their guns. "I thought you said we had one shot with that thing."
"I told you, Ontari's no longer an option for the Flame. She's brain dead," Clarke says as we stand up.

"Is the floor secure?" I ask them.

"For now. Jaha and the guards are tied up in a bedroom," Bellamy answers.
"We took out the elevator and the ladder as we climbed. The stairs are collapsed. No one's following us," Pike adds.
"Good. Then we have time," Clarke says as she glances at me.
"What we don't have is a way down," Murphy says.
"Time for what?" Bellamy asks.

"An Ascension ceremony," I answer him.
"Ascension? You just said Ontari wasn't an option," Murphy asks. "Besides, she's still chipped, and we no longer have an EMP."
"We're not putting the Flame in Ontari's head," Clarke says.
"We're putting it in mine and Clarke's going in with me," I say strongly.
"August, that thing killed Emerson in seconds, liquefied his brain," Bellamy argues.
"I am a nightblood. You all need to get that through your heads. And as far as Clarke, Emerson wasn't connected to a Nightblood," I explain.
"Transfusion?" Pike asks.

"Not exactly," Clarke answers.
"Connected like Mount Weather," Abby says.
"Yes. Everything we need is in your med kit," Clarke says.
"No. It's too dangerous, and there are too many variables," Abby argues.
"But no options," Clarke says. "I'm not letting August go in alone."
"Okay, well, whatever you're doing, you better do it fast," Octavia says as she, Miller, and Bryan run into the room.
"Why? What happened?" Bellamy asks.

"They're climbing," Octavia answers. We all run to the balcony. The chipped people are climbing up any way they can.
"I have to do this," I say.

"And I have to go with her," Clarke says as she stares at her mom.
"Okay. I'll help you both," Abby says and we run inside.

"Can you connect Clarke to me and Ontari?" I ask Abby.

"Yes. Why?" Abby responds.

"If she is connected to me then hopefully A.L.I.E. won't be able to take over her mind," I explain. "Or just do a transfusion?"

"A transfusion would work better so you wouldn't lose so much blood," Abby answers. I'm sitting in the commander's throne while Clarke sits beside me in an ambassador's chair. Clarke hisses as Abby puts the needle into her arm. Abby then moves to the other side and adds another. Abby then draws some of my blood.

"Balcony is greased. No one's getting in through here," Pike says as he walks inside.
"Good. There is enough lamp oil to cover every window on the floor except the Commander's chambers," Bellamy explains.
"Then that's where the fighting starts," Pike says. "We'll dig in there." Pike leaves the room with Miller and Bryan.
"O. Be careful," Bellamy tells her before she leaves the room. He then comes to my side.
"We're all set," Abby says. "Okay. You're ready?"

"Yeah," Clarke says and I nod. Abby opens the valves. Clarke's blood starts moving to Ontari and Ontari's moves to Clarke. Abby then injects my blood into Clarke.
"Hey, try doing that hanging upside down," Bellamy jokes making me smile slightly.
"This will work," Clarke tells her mom.
"And if it doesn't?" Abby asks.
