(AUGUST POV)

Raven and I were able to fix the video chat to where it would be outside so everyone could see since it is Unity Day. The only part I ever enjoyed about Unity Day on the Ark is hanging with Monty and Jasper because of Monty making alcohol. It was late evening with the sky starting to grow dark when Unity Day officially started. I was standing beside Raven and Clarke in the crowd of delinquents.

"My friends, this is an historic Unity Day. Every year, we mark the moment our ancestors of the 12 stations joined to form The Ark, but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. Next year, on the ground," Jaha says as he gives his speech.

"Right. After we did all the work. Someone shut him up," Miller calls out.

"You shut up, Miller," I tell him.

"No one's forcing you to watch," Raven agrees. The Jasper and Monty come busting out of a tent. "Whoo! Yeah! Monty strikes again! Hey! Call this batch unity juice! Who's thirsty?" Jasper calls out as Monty carries the barrel out. The video chat cuts off. "Hey," I say as I walk up to Clarke.

"The comms are still dead. They cut out during the pageant," Clarke explains.

"Don't worry about it. We'll figure it out later. Go have some fun and a drink," I say patting her arm while giving her a smile. She smiles before going to party. I grab an apple from the storage before looking around for a certain curly-headed boy. I find him at the edge of the group watching everyone.

"Hey," I call to him as I walk over. He looks over at me and I toss him the apple which he takes a bite out of. "Clarke says that the comms are still dead. The cut out during the pageant."

"Best Unity Day ever," Bellamy states before he takes another bite out of the apple.

"Do you really think now is a good time to be having a party? I mean, the grounders are out there," I ask.

"By now, he's made it home. He's probably putting together a lynch mob. Relax. I got security covered," Bellamy says with a smirk. "Why don't you go get a drink? You look like you could use one."

"I could use more than one. Remember I've been down here longer than you have," I tell him.

"Then have more than one. August, the Exodus ship carrying your father comes down here in two days. After that, the party's over. Have some fun while you still can. You deserve it," Bellamy explains.

"Yeah," I say as I go to walk away. "So do you by the way." I give Bellamy a wink and a smirk.

"I'll have my fun when the grounders come," Bellamy states with a smile. I find Clarke and we drink together. We totally impress the kids by having fun and beating them at the game they are playing. Clarke and I are laughing and having fun when Finn walks up with a serious face. I'm completely drunk by now.

"What is it?" Clarke asks.

" Let's take a walk," Finn answers while looking at me and Clarke.

"Did something happen?" Clarke asks as we follow him to a quiet part of camp.

"I need you both to come with me, but I can't tell you why okay?" Finn states.

"Finn, tell us why," I tell him and he doesn't speak. Clarke goes to walk away but Finn grabs her arm.

"Hey. Don't. I set up a meeting with the grounders," Finn explains and I immediately feel myself start to sober up.

"A meeting? I don't understand. With who? How?" Clarke questions.

"I was just with the grounder that we had in the dropship," Finn answers.

"His name is Lincoln," I state.
