(BELLAMY POV)

"What happens if we don't fight?" I ask after being led into the arena.

"It's been tried. You get executed," Indra answers me.

"Good, means she'll have to do it herself if she can," I say.

"After all this, you still think that because you're her brother, she won't kill you?" Gaia asks me.

"I have to," I answer her.

"Let's hope we don't have to find out," Gaia says before walking forward.

"You might be right. She might not execute you or me, but Gaia?" Indra says before we are told to move. "I'll kill you quickly, I promise." We are lead into the silent arena before Octavia stands from her throne.

"We gather here today to remind ourselves what happens to the enemies of Wonkru. It doesn't matter who you are. If you choose sides against us, if you divide us, if you defy us, then you are not us," Octavia says before looking to the guards at the door. "Bring in the fourth contestant." Indra, Gaia, and I look at each other confused before August is led into the arena. Everyone looks at her in shock as she enters with a smirk on her face. Now I knew I had to fight because I was not going to let her die. "Before we give these traitors a second chance to be called brother, sister, or seda, we pay tribute to those who have died so that we might live."

"Omon gon oson," Everyone says.

(AUGUST POV)

"Be the last," Octavia orders. Gaia kicks Indra in the leg before they run for the spear. Indra knocks Gaia out before running towards Bellamy. I had grabbed the sword.

"Bellamy, watch out!" I say pushing him out of the way before battling Indra. She ends up slicing my arm open, causing everyone to gasp at the black blood. I end up kicking, Indra's weak shoulder before she knocks away my sword. Bellamy starts fighting Indra before she slices his leg. Gaia gets up before taking the spear from Indra. Bellamy knocks Indra to the ground as I head towards Gaia. I push Gaia to the side as she throws the spear at Octavia. The spear embeds by Octavia's head causing the crowd to go silent.

"I said, be the last," Octavia orders as she tosses the spear back into the pit. Indra grabs the spear, while Bellamy grabs the sword. I quickly open the door to the pit as I see Monty and Harper as planned.

"Stop!" Monty calls out.

"Monty, get out of here," Bellamy tells him.

"Guards, take him away," Octavia orders.

"Octavia told you we have to march, that we have to fight for the one place left where we can survive, but she knows that's not true," Monty explains to everyone.

"Monty, you do not belong in here," Octavia tells him.

"The hydrofarm is working again," Monty says as he uncovers a blossoming plant causing everyone to look at it in shock. "Soon, it'll be processing enough food to feed all of us here. Using the same techniques, we can grow crops in the wasteland. Ask Octavia. She's seen it with her own eyes." Everyone starts to whisper among themselves.

"Go to war if you want to, but at least tell them that they have a choice," I yell causing everyone to start glaring at Octavia.

"Nou Blodreina nowe! Nou Blodreina nowe! Nou Blodreina nowe!" The crowd start chanting as they tear down the fence around the arena before climbing down to the arena. Blodreina no more.

"You fought well," Indra tells me as we hug.

"You, too," I tell her before walking over to Monty. "Monty, You did it."

"It was your plan though," Monty says with a smile as we hug.

"You didn't leave?" Bellamy asks as he walks over to me.

"I never could stay mad at you very long. Besides, I always have to protect my family," I answer him with a smile.

"Where'd she go?" Monty asks causing us all to look at the empty throne.

"We have to find her," I say as we check her office.

"Why? She didn't shoot us, right? That's got to mean something," Monty questions.

"It means she lost the battle, not the war," Indra answers him. "We should split up, but be careful. There are people here that would give their lives to save Blodreina." An alarm starts going off.

"What's that?" Bellamy asks.

"The fire alarm," Gaia answers him.

"The hydrofarm," Monty says quickly before running out of the room with us right behind him. We find Octavia watching the hydro farm that is now in flames. "No! What did you do?"

"Took away the choice," I state as I glare at Octavia.

"You still have one. Stay here and die or march with me and live," Octavia says with a smirk.

Octavia walks through her people before grabbing a bag and keeps walking.

"We got rations here for everyone, 6 days' worth. That's enough to make it to the valley. Move out!" Miller orders everyone before following after Octavia.

"Go. I'll be right behind you," Indra tells Gaia.

"And so will we," Brell tells her.

"Our Commander is out there," I tell her with a smile before dropping back to where Bellamy, Harper, and Monty are.

"A warrior's death awaits," Indra says before we lock arms.

"Ready?" Bellamy asks as he tosses Monty and Harper, each a bag. "Come on." Monty and Harper take off leaving, me and Bellamy.

"August, after this is over with, we need to talk," Bellamy tells me.

"I agree," I respond. "As soon as we get close to Shallow Valley, I'm going to find Clarke, Mika, and Madi. This army needs their commander." Bellamy lets out a sigh before nodding. He then pulls me to him, placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Be safe," He tells me.

"I always am," I respond with a smirk.

"Come on. Our family's waiting."
