(AUGUST POV)"I am getting used to patching you up, Murphy," Jackson tells him as I walk into the room.
"I guess now we know what the restraints were for," Bellamy says as Echo locks Emori in one.
"How long will she be out?" Echo asks.
"The sedative in the tranq-sticks should last up to three hours," Jackson answers her.
"Hey, what about the mothership?" Miller asks. "They're gonna think it's us. How do we warn them?"
"We don't," I answer him with a sigh. "Radios don't work down here. For now, we worry about ourselves."
"Murphy, are you okay?" Bellamy asks him.
"The wounds are superficial. You're lucky," Jackson answers.
"I'm lucky?" Murphy asks him with a glare. "Sorry. Is that your professional diagnosis? Because if so, you suck at being a doctor."
"Murphy," Clarke says in a warning voice.
"What? No what? I'm dying to know what he thinks turned my girlfriend into the monster that just attacked me," Murphy retaliates.
"It's all right here," I say as I hold up the book. "'For two days, Heaven is hell, and friends become foes'. Whatever is in the air, it affects people, too."
"Why are the rest of us okay?" Miller asks the obvious question.
"I don't know. I'm trying to figure that out, but according to this, it comes from the plants," I answer him.
"It's a children's book," Murphy retorts.
"Yeah, but it's coming true," Clarke tells him.
"When we were running from the bugs, Emori went down in the brush. It's probably why she lost it first," I explain.
"First?" Echo asks.
"We're all breathing it in," Bellamy answers her causing me to nod.
"If it's the air out there, then we'll just stay in here," Miller reasons. "We are gonna ride it out."
"That's a great plan, Miller," Murphy says with an eye roll. "What happens when we're trapped in here and the rest of us lose our minds?"
"Murphy's right," Bellamy says as me and Clarke share a worried look. "There's more restraints in the school. I'm guessing they're everywhere. We need to separate."
"I'll stay with Emori," Echo volunteers causing me to hold back a shocked look figuring she's would want to be with Bellamy. Bellamy, Clarke, Murphy, and I go down to the school while Miller and Jackson find another room with the restraints.
"Trying to keep the air out is pointless, Murphy," Clarke says as she watches Murphy put towels up against the bottom of the door. I attach my restraint before watching Murphy.
"Kind of like trying to survive by locking yourself up with the commander of death and the Keryon Gona," Murphy retorts causing me to roll my eyes. "Of course, you don't really need airborne toxins to turn on your friends, do you Clarke?" Murphy picks up a gun causing me to glare at him. Bellamy walks in before locking the door behind him.
"Okay. Echo's with Emori. Jackson is with Miller upstairs," Bellamy explains as he walks over to us. Clarke sits against the wall after attaching her restraint. "No one's armed. Now it's our turn. Gun." Bellamy holds his hand out for Murphy's gun. I sit against the wall I'm attached to. "What'd I miss?" Murphy just glares at Clarke as she looks down. "Okay. Consider this time to work out your differences." Bellamy puts the guns by the door before turning to Murphy. "Let's do this. Now, Murphy."
