(BELLAMY POV)

August decided to meet up with Echo and the others before she went to find Madi, Mika, and Clarke.

"Two pillboxes, just like Echo said," I say as I look though my scope. Gun fire then starts on another hill. "That's our signal." McCreary's men start to leave. "It's working. They're moving out."

(AUGUST POV)

"Who let John have a gun?" I ask as I duck down beside Echo and start firing at the enemy.

"Nice of you to join us, Keryon Gona," Echo says with a smile.

"Murphy, you finally got a gun. Use it," Raven snaps.

"Going as fast as I can. Come on!" Murphy replies as he messes with his gun. "Say hello to my little friend!" Murphy fires the gun and is thrown back by the recoil. "Oh, she's got a kick."

"John. What did you do?" Emori asks as the gun starts making a weird noise.

"He cracked the core. It's gonna blow. We should run," Shaw answers as Raven runs over to the gun.

"I don't run," Raven says as she unplugs the gun. "Bo." Raven and I share a quick hug.

"They've stopped shooting back," Echo says.

"No movement in the pillboxes," Shaw adds as he looks around.

"No reinforcements yet, either," Raven states.

"Where the hell is everyone, then?" Murphy asks.

"Something's wrong," I say as I look out at the gorge.

(BELLAMY POV)

"You did your best to stop this. In the end, if we have to fight, it's better to win," Indra tells me as we follow Octavia. We then start getting shot at.

"Attack!" Octavia orders.

"O., you should be covered," I say as I pull her down.

"Stay low! Stand your ground," Octavia orders as she grabs a gun and runs forward.

"Retreat! Go back to the bunker!" Brell yells causing grounders to start retreating.

"No! Advance! It's the only way!" Octavia yells.

"O! O, it's the only way. Get out of here. We go back, and we find another," I yell at Octavia as I grab her and try to retreat. We are then hit with a blast from a sonic cannon causing us to fly through the air.

"O, don't move. I said, don't move. The second we move, we're dead," I tell Octavia as she comes to. We watch as two more grounders are killed because they got up.

"This is your fault," Octavia accuses.

"We are not doing this now," I tell her. "Judging by the number of dead, some of your army must have made it back to the wasteland, but they won't last long without food or water."

"I have to get to them," Octavia states. "You lay down covering fire, and we run."

"No. O, I lost my weapon," I tell her. "We have to wait until it's dark. Once we make it back, we get the radio, and we surrender. We can't win. It's over, but we can still save our people."

"Nothing is over," Octavia argues. "Your intel was bad, but at least we know what we're up against."

"O, no one will follow you," I tell her. "This is your fault, not mine. You led them here. You burnt their farm, and you made them march. These people are dead because of you." Octavia then tries to hit me. "O, stop moving."
