The First On The Ground

Wanheda: Part Two

(AUGUST POV)

We have been sitting in the rover for about three hours now, waiting on whoever trapped us to make their move. I can tell that Bellamy is getting irritated by having to wait. Morning had even come.

"It's been 3 hours," Bellamy says. "What are they waiting for?"

"Even with the light, I don't see anyone," My father says as we all look outside.
"I say we make a run for it," Monty says.

"No. That's what they want us to do," My father argues.
"The boy is right. They can wait longer than we can," Indra says. She may be right but they are already here.

"It does us no good when they are already here," I say but get ignored by everyone but Indra. She gives me a confused look. I point up to the roof of the rover and she nods.
"Okay, Bellamy. Get in the turret, and you cover us. Once we get to that ridge over there, we'll cover you," My father orders.

"No, wait," I say as I grab Bellamy to keep him from standing. "No offense but I'm the better shot." I look to my father.

"No," My father says. "Bellamy, get up there."
"Copy that," Bellamy says.

"Be careful," I say before giving him a kiss on the lips.

"Run fast," He tells us before he stands up through the hole in the roof. "They're here." I quickly unsheathe my sword and my father raises his gun.
"Everybody out, or the boy dies," A kind of familiar voice says. Bellamy is then picked up out of the hole.
"Hey, hey! Okay! Okay. We're coming out. Don't hurt him," My father calls out as he sits his gun down. Indra puts her sword down and I sheathe mine. My father starts to open the door but it is jerked open and he is jerked out of the rover. Then Monty is grabbed, then Indra and me. We are slammed to the ground and my weapons are taken, except for my sais. I see Bellamy also being held to the ground.
"All targets secure," A woman calls out. Monty is jerked up and someone takes the beacon.
"Found it," The guy that took it says.
"It's mine," Monty says as he struggles to get loose. "Give it back!"

"Monty, let it go," Bellamy tells him.
"Monty?" The woman asks. Monty stops struggling.

"Mom?" Monty asks. Looks like we may have found Farm Station. The woman then takes her mask off to reveal Monty's mother, Hannah. Monty is released as we all stared shocked.
"I knew it," Hannah says as they hug.
"Farm Station, stand down," The guy on the rover orders as he hops down.
"Pike?" My father asks as he is let go. My earlier thoughts are confirmed when Pike takes off his mask.

"You have no idea how good it is to see you," Pike says as he helps my father up. Bellamy, Indra, I still being held to the ground.

"We didn't think you made it," My father says as they quickly hug.
"Lacroix, Smith, watch our 6," Pike orders before he sees the rest of us still being held down. "Everyone else, I said, stand down." The rest of us are let go. I stand by Indra to make sure that they don't try anything with her.
"Where's Dad?" Monty asks his mom.

"You're father didn't make it," Hannah answers after a second. They then hug again.
"How many of you are there?" My father asks Pike.

"63. The rest are camped in the mountains north of here, Grounder killers one and all," Pike answers. "Am I right?"

"Ooh-rah!" Pike's people cheer and I can't help but roll my eyes. Everyone looks over to Indra and me. Pike's people glare at us.

"Hate to cut this short. We got to find Clarke," Bellamy says as he walks up to Pike and my father while glancing over at me.
"Clarke Griffin?" Pike asks.

"Yeah," Bellamy answers.
"If only all of my Earth skills students were as good as her," Pike says kind of jokingly.
"It's good to see you, sir," Bellamy says with a smile.
