OCTAVIA POVGaia silences the crowd as I look down in slight shock at seeing Marcus Kane in the arena.
"Each of these 4 combatants have committed crimes against Wonkru. They are our enemies traitors to our people, traitors to our code of strength, unity, and honor but today one of you will be given a chance to once again be called brother or sister. However, first, you must survive.
The only rule in this arena is, be the last," Gaia explains causing the crowd to cheer. "As always, as we invite death into this hall, we honor it." Everyone besides Kane bows their heads. "Omon gon oson."
"Omon gon oson," Everyone besides Kane says. Kane just continues to stare at me as if I would do something to stop what is about to happen.
"Be the last," Gaia says starting the fight. Everyone grabs a weapon besides Kane who only grabs a shield. Kane eventually picks up a weapon before the women who is fighting him gets taken out. Kane gets sliced across the back causing the crowd to cheer. Kane then takes out the last component. Kane keeps hitting the grounder over and over again.
"He's losing them," Indra says.
"Marcus Kane, in stealing life-giving medicine from Wonkru, you have committed a crime against our people, but you are the last.Has he earned his freedom, Blodreina?" Gaia says before looking at me.
"No," I say as I stand and look down at him. He maybe August's father but I can't show mercy because of that. I must not look weak. "He fights again tomorrow." The crowd cheers as I leave the room.BELLAMY POV
"Colonel, it's me. He's telling the truth. Somehow they blocked the remote access to the cryo-room and the pods. We can't wake anyone up," A voice says it very the radio. They had taken August somewhere not long after I arrived.
"Do I have your attention now?" I ask the woman who seemed to be in charge.
"I don't know how you got on my ship, but if anything happens to any of my people..." The woman starts to say.
"Nothing will happen to them as long as we can make a deal," I say as I cut her off.
"I say we kill him now," The man who seems to be second in command says from behind me.
"What do you want?" The woman asks as she walks closer to me.
"We need your help opening a bunker. You're miners, so that shouldn't be a problem for you.
If you do that, I'll let your people go," I answer her.
"And then what, happily ever after?" She asks.
"Then we'll split this valley down the middle. Whether or not you're happy is on you, but I'd like to think that we can find a way to coexist," I explain causing the man behind me to chuckle.
"Threatening to kill 283 of my people is one hell of a way to start a friendship," She says.
"Do we have a deal, or not?" I ask her. She agrees before allowing me to go and see August, who is on their ship.AUGUST POV
I must have blacked out from the pain of the shock collar because I woke up in a cell on their ship. One thing that didn't make since to me is that I could have sworn that Bellamy was there. I hear the door open behind me before I slowly roll over to see who it is. I feel the air leave my body as I see Bellamy on the doorway. He then rushes over before helping me sit up. I could feel tears forming in my eyes as I looked him over. I then quickly pull him into a hug.
"Oh, you're really here," I say as he hugs me back. I never want to let go of him but do so I could see his face again. "Madi?" Since he is here, she had to of been the one driving the rover.
"She's safe. She's in the woods with the others. Diyoza won't look for them as long as we're in control," Bellamy explains to me causing me to let out a sigh of relief.
"You're all still alive Clarke, Murphy, Monty, Raven?" I ask him, hoping that all of my family had made it.
"Echo, Harper, and Emori," Bellamy adds as he nods his head. I barely caught it but I noticed how his voice changed when he said Echo and knew that something had happened between them in space. "Yeah. August, you saved us all."
"And now you're home," I say as I pull him into another hug. "And I'm home." I say softly in hopes he doesn't hear me knowing that things have probably changed in the past six years. "Wait. Why'd she release me?"
"We made a deal. She agreed to open the bunker," Bellamy answers causing me to let out a happy sigh.
