(AUGUST POV)I haven't moved from my spot as I lean my head against the door. I heard Octavia sit down but other than that nothing. All of a sudden an alarm goes off.
"It's about time," I say as I turn around and Octavia says. We watch as a body comes out of a shoot and lands in a bin.
"Fox," Octavia says as we look at the body. We then hear footsteps running towards us. I move into the darkness as Octavia just walks in the direction of the footsteps. I take out a sai as Octavia unsheathes her sword. The person then comes around the corner. I quickly walk out and wrap my arm around the neck and press the sai to their throat.
"Octavia. August," Clarke says as I realize who I'm holding. I release her and start walking back to the door. "You stayed."
"Screw you," Octavia says."Of course I stayed. I know where my loyalties lie," I say as lean my head back on the door. It's taking everything in me not to hit Clarke.
"We have to get in there," Clarke says.
"If that was possible, do you think we'd still be out here?" I ask her annoyed. Octavia shows her Fox's body."Why did Lexa sound the retreat?" Octavia asks.
"She made a deal with Mount Weather, freed the Grounders, and now we're on own," Clarke says.
"Of course she did," I growl as I turn away from the door. Clarke starts banging on the door. I quickly shove her back.
"Stop! They'll know we're here," I tell her with a glare. I was not going to let Bellamy die because of her.
"What about Lincoln? There's no way he would have gone along with a plan like this," Octavia asks.
"He didn't, they took him," Clarke says before she raises her gun at the keypad.
"What's wrong with you?" Octavia asks her as she knocks her gun down."I am getting through that door," Clarke answers.
"And that's your plan? Bellamy's counting on you. Everyone's always counting on you," Octavia says."Well, what do you want from me?" Clarke asks.
"You trusted Lexa. You let a bomb drop on Tondc. You let all those people..." I snarl at her.
"I am doing the best I can!" Clarke yells at me.
"Yeah? Well, it's not good enough," I snarl. "We're supposed to work together. But no you make all the choices and it always ends up with people dying. So, back off before you get us, our friends or Bellamy killed. Keep it up and I won't hesitate to kill you." I get in her face as I talk making her back up. We then hear a noise by the door. Clarke raises her gun and I unsheathe my sword. The door opens and Bellamy walks out with his gun raised.
"Oh, Bellamy," Octavia says as she rushes forward and hugs him. He stares at me the whole time they hug. I sheathe my sword and as soon as they let go of each other I run forward and hug him. He quickly breaks us apart and kisses me."Now, that's something I never thought I would see," Jasper says. I pull away from Bellamy and can't help but smile when I see Jasper and Monty.
"I knew it. You two are too scrawny to drill," Octavia says as she pulls Jasper into a hug. I pull Monty into a hug before Octavia and I switch people. A girl then walks out in one of the suits. I figure that she must be Maya. Octavia goes forward.
"It's all right. She's with us," Jasper says.
"Where's your army?" Bellamy asks Clarke."Gone just like yours. Say you have a plan," Clarke says.
"Not really. We need to talk to Dante. Maya says he's in quarantine," Bellamy explains.
"Clarke!" Jasper says as he and Monty run forward and hug Clarke."Thank you for keeping him alive," I tell Maya as I look to Bellamy and back to her. She nods. Her suit then starts beeping.
"And we just changed it. That can't be right. Uh, shh um It's her last tank," Jasper says as he looks at the tank.
"Hey. We'll find you another one," I say.
"All the supplemental oxygen is on level 5," Maya says.
"Then we have to get you to level 5," Clarke says.
"We'll take the trash chute again. It will work," Jasper says.
"To get in, maybe. Maya's right. Every soldier in this mountain is there. We'll never make it out," Bellamy says.
"We can do this. We'll split up," Jasper says.
"Okay. You guys go for Dante. We'll help Maya," Octavia says as she unsheathes her sword and walks inside. I unsheathe my sword and we all go inside. Octavia and Jasper go with Maya while Bellamy, Monty, Clarke and I head to Dante.
"Hello, Clarke," Dante says as we enter the room.
"Sir, we need your help again," Bellamy says.
"It's okay. I took out the camera from the junction box in the hall. We can talk freely," Monty explains.
"No one's watching, anyway. Thanks to you, they're all on level 5," Dante says.
"You're not," I say not liking this man.
"No. I'm not. You must be August," Dante says.
"Please. We don't have much time. We need a way to get our people out of this mountain without killing everyone," Bellamy says.
"He's not gonna help us," I say as I stare at the man.
"You cut the power, risking the lives of everyone in this mountain my people, even the ones who helped you," Dante says.
"We knew they'd be safe on level 5. We made sure not to destroy the turbines so you could repair them. We're the good guys here, not you," Clarke says but ends up yelling at the end of it.
"Tell me, if we released your people and theirs, what would've happened to mine?" Dante asks and I have a strong feeling that it was his idea about the deal.
