(AUGUST POV)

I decided to go have a talk with my father, to check on Octavia and see where he is on getting Pike out of office. I pretended to be asleep until Bellamy left this morning before sneaking into the vents like I always would on the Ark. I came to the room where my father has his secret meetings and knocked on the vent. I soon see my father's face before he opens the vent.

"How is she?" I ask as I hop out of the vent.

"She's doing good. She saved a grounder child from being killed by some of Pike's men," My father answers. "We need to know why he is collecting soil and water samples."

"I'm still not allowed in all of the meetings but if we could plant a bug then you would be able to hear everything," I explain to my father.

"How do we get it in there without compromising your position?" My father asks.

"Not me," I answer him. "Miller. I'll find out when Pike's not in his office and send Harper to you. Then Miller slips in and plants the bug while you keep watch. I'll be down the hall just in case Pike comes. You can distract him and I'll take care of anyone with him without compromising my position." My father nods in agreement. "I got to go before Bellamy starts looking for me." I get back in the vent and go back to my room. I am just able to get the vent closed and pretend to be putting on my jacket when Bellamy walks in to let me know what Pike wants a meeting. After the meeting, we all leave Pike's office, including Pike. I easily find Harper and send her to my father. About 5 minutes later I hear my father and Miller walking down the hall. I walk past them, giving a subtle nod before pretending to be leaving the area.

"Chancellor Pike, good to see you," I hear from down the hall.
"There you are," I hear my father say.

"Go on ahead," I hear Pike tell someone. Showtime. I walk around the corner and right into whoever he sent forward. I hiss out in pain and put my hand on my stomach as if they hurt my wound.

"August, are you okay?" I look up and found that I ran into Bellamy.

"Yeah. I think so," I answer him while grabbing onto his arm and pretend to use it for support. "I'll be glad when they are healed."

"Well, you should get back to work or have Abby check you out," Bellamy says and I see the Chancellor's door go to open behind him. Here goes nothing. I quickly pull Bellamy in for a kiss. He actually returns the kiss with his eyes closed and everything. As I kiss him, I look behind him and see Miller leave the Chancellor's office. He smirks at me and gives a thumbs up before walking away. I pull away from Bellamy and fake a sweet smile. "What was that for?"

"What? I can't kiss my boyfriend?" I ask him pretending to be slightly hurt. He goes to answer but I cut him off with a smile. "Besides consider it the good morning kiss that you forgot." I see an actual smile come to his face. Man, have I missed that smile.

"I got to go back..." Bellamy starts as his smile fades.

"To work. I know me too," I say with a fake smile. He kisses my forehead before walking into the Chancellor's office. I walk past Pike who is walking away from my father.

"August," Pike says.

"Sir," I say as I turn to him.

"We are having a meeting. Join us," Pike says and I nod my head before following him. I walk into the Chancellor's office and stand beside Bellamy. We are soon joined by Hannah Greene, Monty, Monroe, Miller's boyfriend, and a few others. I pat Monty on the back as he goes to stand on the other side of Bellamy.
"Let's get this meeting started," Pike says as the door is closed. "Welcome Farm Station's own Monty Green and factory girl Zoe Monroe as we begin our next crucial phase expansion and salvation, and this will lead the way." Pike holds a soil sample.
"Dirt?" Monroe asks.
