(AUGUST POV)

I wake up the next morning and smile when I find my head laying on Bellamy's chest. I look up and find him still asleep. I wish we could stay in this moment for forever.

"You know it's rude to stare, right?" Bellamy asks as he opens his eyes. I just smile at him which he returns the smile. Bellamy tucks some hair behind my ear before he traces his hand down over my scars. "You are beautiful."

"I love you," I say before I peck him on the lips.

"On the Ark, did you ever think about having kids?" Bellamy randomly asks.

"I don't know," I answer him. "I mean, on the Ark, I was busy worried about helping Octavia and being sent to the ground." Bellamy looks a little down by my answer. "I know I do want kids though. I just don't want them living in this world. What about you?"

"I guess since I've always taken care of Octavia, it's made me always want kids of my own," Bellamy says.

"You would make a wonderful father," I tell him before he kisses me. I pull away from the kiss knowing we needed to get busy. "We should go." As we are getting dressed, Bellamy touches the back of my neck where the flame is.

"You got more markings?" Bellamy asks. I had the sacred symbol like Lexa had where the flame is.

"Yes. Lexa had the same one as the mark of the commander," I answer him. "Which reminds me, I need to be getting back to Polis." As I put my shirt on there is a knock at the door. Bellamy opens the door to reveal Clarke.

"We have a solution that could possibly save everyone," Clarke says.

"What is it?" Bellamy asks.

"Nightblood," Clarke answers.

"How?" I ask.

"Luna and Mika's bodies are rejecting the radiation because they are nightbloods," Clarke answers. I didn't know Mika was a nightblood. "My mother and a few others are going to go with Luna to where A.L.I.E. was created so they can find Becca's notes on how to regenerate nightblood."

"I'll go to Polis and let Roan know that we have a possible solution," I say as I grab my things.

"I'll take a hunting party out," Bellamy says.

"I'm in charge of repairs," Clarke says. "Be safe, both of you." Clarke then leaves.

"Be careful," I tell Bellamy before I kiss him. "I love you."

"You be careful. I love you, too. May we meet again," Bellamy says.

"I'll see you soon," I say before I head back to Polis. I reach Polis and head for the throne room.

"He said that, too, just before he told us that you have a Nightblood," I hear Roan's voice as I head for the doors. "It's a good thing the Flame's in my Queen, or I'd be worried you're planning an ascension."

"You should trust me, then," I say as I walk through the doors. I look over and see Bellamy. How is he here? There must have been someone watching Arkadia when his hunting party left. "Skaikru discovered that Nightblood helps metabolize radiation."
"We're investigating ways to create it for everyone, turn everyone into Nightbloods so we can all survive," My father explains.
"Blasphemy. Nothing they tell us is true," Echo says.
"This is," I tell her with a glare. "The first commander, Becca Pramheda, was not born a nightblood. She made herself one."
"It's not blasphemy. It's science. If Nightblood can save lives, we should use it," My father says. Roan then nods at Echo. Echo slits the guard's throat.
"Warriors don't reveal their secrets," Echo says as my father rushes to the guard.
"Truth is the first casualty of war. If your motives were pure, you would've shared your plan with me. Our alliance is broken," Roan says. "Skaikru en Trikru be laik baga." Skaikru and Trikru are the enemies. Seeing as nobody is watching me, I slide out of the room unseen. I have to find Octavia, so we can go warn Clarke.
