Chapter 18 " A Step closer"

" never she lived a night like this before a night she didn't wish for it to end and didn't know when it begun The smell of the candles melting on the candle stick , mixed with his perfume fragrances and the dark tea a Gauri gave her a sense of peace ,so pleasant and magical and that wasn't the only thing pleasant in this moment it wasn't the only thing warm and cozy and worth to hold on in the heart

Before the mind

There were also the smile on his lips and the passion in his eyes as he flipping a paper after the other with too much caution and curiosity Taking notes in his note book and nearing the candle by his side that was the only source of light in his office room when he could have easily turn on the light !!! but he just didn't he wanted a calm private mood that he wanted her to share with him , which only felt a step closer for her to being part in his life which is all what she wish for "

she thought to herself as she took a sip of the warm lemon only to notice him taking a sip of the cup of tea then look at it disappointed she raised herself off the chair a little and noticed his cup is empty she smiled and said the first words since hours !

Anika: I will prepare more !!

and as if he just noticed her existence with her words he looked at her and smiled and nodded in approval to the offer ,.and she held her breath seeing this smile that was different than his others smiles to her , this one was warm and so kind , she felt she can do anything for this smile , not just a good cup of tea

he closed the book in front of him and leaned his back on the chair that he now felt how much it ached as he was leaning on the book for hours as Anika smiled to him and turned on the boiler and started to prepare a new cup of tea , he looked at her and he couldn't take his eyes of every movement she do that wasn't that different but seemed to him like they are unique !

" why you came to my life " he thought to himself

but this time he wasn't complaining or blaming like always he was actually wondering !! why Anika enter his life ??? and why she is keeping doing this for him ?!! for every one?!!her actions are so simple yet so kind and amazing !!! (then he took a deep breath and chuckled a short silent chuckle) he brought her as a care giver to Jhanvi but now he think she is taking care of everyone , even him !!

Anika prepared the cup of tea and was about to put it in the desk but Shivaay smile vanished and said in warning tone

Shivaay: DON'T TAKE EVEN A STEP CLOSER

Anika eyes widened and her hand stopped in the air as Shivaay brought the beverage coaster under her hand and prepared it so it will be positioned correct and said in low tone

Shivaay: put it on the coaster I don't want rings all over my desk

Anika : its just a desk

Shivaay frowned as Anika rolled her eyes and put it on the coaster with neglect and he blew a breath in frustration and adjusted the cup on the circle drawn on the coaster and the handle to face him !!

Shivaay: see ? Not that hard .come on watch it Step by step (he took off the cup and said ) you hold the cup and put it on the coaster on the circle drawn(then he put it on the coaster ) take it and put it (then he repeated the move twice ) take it and put it now try it your self

Anika faked a smile gritting on her teeth and took off the cup again and put it on the circle and made the handle towards him

Anika: here you go Mr. Shivaay how is this?

Shivaay looked at the cup and adjusted it a little and nodded !!

Shivaay: almost there but not quite right
