Ragini frowned: dinner is served
Pratap: I can hear that, Ragini; you may leave.
(he reached for his spoon and with his other hand touched the edges of the rice plate, he put the spoon in the rice, filled it and before it reaches his lips, The sound of the glass of water hitting the wooden table made him flinch again and the rice fell off the spoon)
Pratap frowned: you are angry I can notice, and I agree to ask what is wrong, so stop ruining my table and let me eat my meal.
Ragini frowned: I can't believe you did that, Prince
(Then she pulled a chair and sat in front of him with a frown, he leaned his back on his chair )

Ragini eyes widened for a moment as Pratap held the glass of water and presented to her, she took it and took couple of sips with wide eyes looking at his smile then she swallowed
Ragini: thank you (then she frowned) and why you thought this will matter to him?
Pratap: because he loves Surbhi
Ragini eyes widened: really? Gulab the Gardener, I am shocked!!!
Pratap eyes widened: can you imagine?!!!
Ragini swallowed: no I can't and how you knew that?
Pratap smiled half a smile as Ragini swallowed with wide eyes; there was a moment of silence.
Pratap in low tone: it is not news, the entire palace talks about how Gulab can't hide his deep affection for my last daughter and talk reaches even to the third floor, but it was just a rumor till I truly knew him.
Ragini eyes widened: knew him?
Pratap: yes, before he become Hiran's favorite Guard then the head of my Guards, he was just one of the hundreds servants here, hidden between them (then he smiled) but not anymore.
Ragini swallowed: yes right (then she said slowly) so that is it?
Pratap: pass me the salt
Ragini passed him the salt and he salted the salad and took some by his fork
Ragini: even though you could have told me "Ragini, I want to trap Gulab", you think I would have stopped you? You think I would have not liked to do that?
Pratap smiled faintly: okay, it is fine, don't be upset (then he smiled) I have granted you a big bonus for your engagement with Kabeer, congratulation.
Ragini smiled: how much? (Then she frowned) if it is less than what you gifted Soumya and needy Rudra or equal, I swear to god...
