The next day
Anika opened her eyes faintly hearing a faint knock on her door; she rubbed her eyes and yawned
Anika: wait a minute
And she wore her dress over her night gown and looked at herself on the mirror and fixed her hair but the faint knocking continued, Anika frowned then she opened the door of her room but found no one, she raised her eyebrows and looked at the corridor
Anika: is anyone there?
Then she ignored and closed the door back and entered the bathroom but the knocking started again, she got out of the bathroom and she frowned and the knocking continued
Anika: WHO EVER YOU ARE, GO AWAY.
The knocking continued and Anika frowned then she ran to the door and opened the door, she saw no one again, she looked in the corridor it was empty, she closed the door back but kept holding the door knob and waited for a moment the minute the door knocked again, she opened the door and Ray smile vanished and his eyes widened behind his glasses, his mouth dropped and his small fist stopped in the air, seeing her deep frown, he looked down
Ray: someone was knocking on your room, Anika.
Anika frown vanished and raised an eyebrow..
Anika: really?!!!(Then she bent) and who is this someone? You saw him?
Ray: he was tall
Anika: how tall?
Ray: so tall
Anika tightened her eyes: hmm and what this tall someone wants?
Ray in low tone: a sandwich
Anika smiled: you are hungry?
Ray looked at her then he smiled and nodded
Ray: but ma told me we are guests and she can't enter the kitchen and make me sandwich and we should wait till you eat breakfast and she gave me an apple and I want a jam sandwich not an apple
Anika: oh, come in I will make you a jam sandwich
Ray smiled widely and entered then he sat on the chair as Anika opened the mini fridge in her room, and got out a small box of milk, and a plate with couple of toast bread and a jar of jam and she put the straw in the milk and started to prepare the sandwich
Ray: Anika? You said I am bhai's surprise on the dinner, right? so he knows I am his brother now and you said he will be so happy that he have me but he woke up and I talked to him, I said "good morning bhai" which is nice to say at morning, papa told me that it is nice to say good morning at morning but he didn't smile to me, he nodded and walked away (then he looked down) so he is not happy with having me and he doesn't want me right?
Anika smile vanished but she managed to smile back and turned and put the plate of sandwich in front of him with box of milk and he took a sip of the milk and a bite of the sandwich and smiled
Ray: thank you Anika for the sandwich, it is delicious
Anika smiled: Ray, Hariom is just sad right now and need time, so be patient
Ray smile vanished: why? Why he is sad?
Anika: because he is scared and confused ...
Ray eyes widened: scared from what? He is so tall and big, what can scare him?
Anika covered her lips: I am not good at this (then she leaned forward) you remember your first day at the school?
Ray took a moment then he said with widened eyes ..
Ray: the first school I don't remember but I remember my first day at the second school, It was not a good day, my friends weren't there and teachers were different, I didn't know them I felt scared and alone and the next day I didn't want to go to school but papa took me (then he smiled) and me and Paul became friends he was nice to me and he introduced me to Max and Anna and we played and the teachers were nice like in my old school
