Scorch didn't know what had happened.

"Ayan na sila!" he heard the strained voice of the mortal prince from afar and his head whipped just in time to witness the enemy's ship crash with theirs.

The impact reached him before he could even register the collision but his body had reacted not a moment too soon, muscle memory saving him from yet another possible injury. He had put enough force onto his legs and feet, holding onto the nearest support in the ship. For a single moment, it was all shouts and screams and the rush of waves and the howls of the wind and thunders and flashes of lightning—- it was storming, and the ship had been barged.

He looked at the enemies scattering, the colors of metal and purple invading his vision. He looked at the sea, the ice Radu had made—- destroyed and melting. He looked at the roaring sky. The only dragon they have, unconscious from the lightning attack the enemy had brought down onto him. Radu's ice heavily supported Eliseo to keep him from sinking but he doubt the ice would hold longer. He shifted his vision to the sea again—- there, he noticed the color more closely now. Not blue. Not clear. It had a mix of red. Of blood. Bodies. Dead bodies floating.

The enemy had someone who could control the weather, and they had only decided to release their trump card at the sight of the Demon King's elite guards. They were obviously waiting for this chance. An opening for them to utilize their hidden cards. Even Kaimana and Radu hadn't seen this coming.

When Kaimana and Radu came to help, it was as though the momentum had shifted into something more dangerous—- an assurance everything was going to be okay now that the two of the most potent Pack members of the Demon King's elite guard were here.

But he was wrong. He miscalculated. Now, the enemies were able to reach them.

"Push back!" Someone's voice erupted from somewhere.

Scorch had no time to think and let his body control him as he began maneuvering himself. He had no idea where the siren was. If she was still engaging under the sea or something bad had already happened to her. The vampire prince—- he could care less about Radu's whereabouts.

"Push back! Push back!" Another order.

But there were too many. There were enemies coming from the front, at the back, at his left, and at his right. He was surrounded. The ship was done for. But he refused to believe they were too.

At the wild beat of his heart, he snapped a neck. Beheaded another. Shove a knife deep into someone's throat. Poisoned every single one he touches. Then the boiling rage exploded and Scorch was bellowing. There was only anger. There was only the need to kill. The floor beneath him rocked and he felt immense pain in his lower torso and back. He heeded no mind to it.

Scorch cursed. The sky above him roared.

Bad weather was always an enemy to the sea.

And there would always be a limit to his power. To their power.

Nang makahanap ng tiyempo ay umalis kaagad si Scorch sakanyang pwesto at sinimulang hanapin ang prinsipe. Ayaw niya man aminin sakanyang sarili, but they needed a way out. At least they needed to gather and generate another plan. They needed time. Even just a little. Kailangan lang nila ng oras para mag isip uli. This battle was getting out of hand and if they continue to proceed, it would be an obvious loss. His little brother would be disappointed—- not that he cared about Midnight's opinion, but Scorch was tired of losing. He had been doing so ever since his little shitty of a brother won the crown and throne.
