I woke up to the aggressive voices around me. Before I could even open my eyes, something rang inside my head that caused me agonizing pain from the inside. I would've chosen not to fight the horrible pain and let myself drift away if not for the memories that came rushing back in.

There were too many creatures going in and out of my vision. Too many. Too fast. They were all in the move. Too many voices circulating in this massive tent, it was too annoying. Too painful to watch them all move and speak like that.

Day's name came out of my dried mouth as soon as I figured out where I was. As soon as I forced my body to stand someone's hands were on me in an instant, grabbing both ends of my shoulders and pushing me back down with enough force.

Napaungol ako sa sakit.

"Your Majesty, huwag muna ho kayong gumalaw---"

"Day"

"Y-yes, Your Majesty. I will immediately inform the Head Healer of your recovery"

I blurted out the words more aggressive than I meant it to be. "Go"

The healer was rushing his way out of my sight as I scrambled for something at the table beside my bed. I needed water or something useful to clear my throat.

For a moment there, I thought I didn't see the kid who cried day and night because he was scared and exhausted. I thought I saw someone different. But I guessed wrong when I saw the immediate change of expression in his eyes as he came closer. These were the eyes of a tired child.

"You're the first one here" He said as soon as he was in front of my face. He tried making his voice strong but it still sounded the same to me. "And I hope you will be the last pack member to visit me"

"Ilang oras akong nawalan ng malay?"

"3 hours"

Napamura ako sa isipan ko. "What's the situation?"

"When the Sins and Dragons came, the opponents' frontlines were pulled out to be replaced by the reserve forces. Zagreus did the same and pulled out our frontlines. Including himself, the Pack, and the other officials in the army for an emergency meeting. But after that meeting, they were thrown at the frontlines again. Bumisita siya rito para tignan ang kalagayan mo. He gave me specific orders not to let you fight again unless I see you fit to go. His Majesty said the decision will be mine to make"

Tangina naman talaga oo, o.

Humugot ako ng malalim na hininga. As much as possible, gusto kong kumalma. "Am I fit to go?" I asked Day respectfully and carefully.

Sandali akong binigyan ni Day ng tingin mula sakanyang ginagawa sabay iling. "Not yet"

"And why is that?"

"Your whole body is still recovering----"

I cut him. My patience on a tight leash. "This war will be long over even before my body fully recovers. Give me another reason"

Napasinghap ng malalim si Day. "You're critical, Your Majesty. It may seem like it's not, but your body will give up on you any time soon if you keep on pushing it to its limits. I am well aware of how strong your will is, Your Majesty, but your body cannot keep up with it. I need to make sure you're body won't give up on you in the middle of the fight"
