"King Zagreus, do not approach any further" Maawtoridad na utos ni Shiki na siyang ikinitigil ni Midnight sa paglalakad. Mula sa pwesto ko ay kitang kita ko ang pamumutla ni Queen Lucretia habang tahimik at timping timpi na nanood si King Druse sakanyang upuan. "Enough with this"

Midnight fully faced him, dead eyes gleaming in crimson blood. "Why do I need to follow the orders of someone who plans to dethrone me and my wife?"

Tumigas ang ekspresyon sa pagmumukha ni Shiki. "I am warning you, Demon King"

"King Cayden," Midnight didn't even budge when he called the Mortal King, "Do you vote yes?"

"Nope" Cayden answered as though it was already given he'd deny the Emperor.

"Queen Zarax?"

"It would be a shame for me to betray the coven member and the demon who helped me ascend the throne"and the Black Witch Queen said with a nasty grin on her pretty face.

"Fools" Biglang sigaw ni King Druse. "You are all fools! Mga wala kayong alam!"

"King Druse, kumalma ka" Queen Mayalila's brows were starting to knit together as she remained seated in her own chair with her emotions on a tight leash. It was obvious she didn't want to lose her poise but her temper was failing her each second this argument lasted.

Then she turned towards me.

Then Shiki gave me a look.

I only raised a brow at him and at her.

Hindi ko sila tutulungan.

Hahayaan ko si Midnight.

"King Midnight Zagreus" Shiki warned through gritted teeth. "Sit down"

Midnight didn't move from his spot but he didn't listen either. Blanko niyang tinignan si Shiki.

"Hindi mo magugustuhan ang gagawin ko kapag hindi mo ako sinunod"

"Tinatakot mo ba ako?"

"Sumunod ka, King Zagreus" King Druse provoked as though he wasn't provoked as well from everything that has happened right now. "Sumunod ka na lang kung ayaw mong lumala pa ang sitwasyon"

I scoffed unconsciously. Kapal naman ata ng mukha nito.

Nilingon ni Midnight si King Druse. The vampire king and queen couldn't help but wince. "You attacked my wife and you expect me to sit quietly after?"

"Midnight" I finally called out.

"No, my love"

Tumayo na si Shiki.

Napatayo 'rin ako wala sa oras. "Midnight"

"An eye for an eye, King Druse" Tumayo ang balahibo ko sa sinabi ni Midnight.

Nanginginig na sumigaw si Queen Lucretia. "You already exterminated our guards! That should have been enough!"

Malalim na bumuntong hininga si Shiki. Automatikong napunta sakanya ang atensyon ko. When he turned in the direction of the Soul Eater King, I knew something bad was about to happen then.

"Shiki" I roared out. My lungs scratched against each other, heavy as a boulder. Nagtama ang mata naming dalawa. "Wag mong subukan"

"Talking is no longer an option. We could have ended this meeting in a less violent way" He said. His voice cold yet strong.

Around me, guards prepared. The Pack became more vigilant. The rulers watched more closely.

Umigting ang panga ko. Hindi na ito maganda.
