It had been a month since New Year's Eve.
Andy and Alberto were sending each other regular messages and Carina and Maya were teasing her with it.

Maya and Andy were on call today with the A-team.
The entire team had been called to a house where a couple in the middle of a breaking up was having trouble. The woman had set fire to some of the shared belongings and the house was now filled with smoke.

What was supposed to be a simple intervention: Empty the place and flood the house, had turned into a nightmare.

Rigo had a new girlfriend, Eva, and he couldn't keep up. He had made a mistake in the unlocking code and blocked the access to the garage. Making it safe.

By a stroke of bad luck Andy, Theo and Maya found themselves stuck in a garage with no way out. With two police officers and the couple.

The longer they were stuck here, the more likely they were to stay. After a while, Maya began to panic. What if she never got out of here and never saw Carina again.
She couldn't reach her, she didn't want to worry her.

They had tried everything. Doors, electrical boxes, no way out, not even a mouse hole.

After 2 hours, it was over 45 degrees in the garage which was ultra insulated and secure. Everyone thought they were done with life. Maya could only see Carina's face. Tears were streaming down her cheeks.

Captain Herrera was on the other side of the door, talking to his daughter. He was encouraging his team to find a solution. But their energy was evaporating. The heat was causing them to run out of oxygen and water in their bodies.

In one last push, in one last hope. The three firefighters looked more carefully at their surroundings.
Maybe they had found an idea.
There was a hot water tank. This type of device was under pressure. They figured that if they took gasoline from the car and set it on fire and connected a stream of gasoline to the hot water tank they had lying on the ground, the pressure would send the tank flying across the room, at least through the garage door.

Just before the explosion occurred. Maya realized that a flaw in the valve would screw up their plan. She ran to the balloon but the explosion sent her across the room.

The balloon went towards the door, exploding it in its path. The air was finally able to enter the room and the people to leave.

- "Maya, Maya" Andy shouted but the lieutenant did not respond. "Help, help over here, I can't find Maya, she's not answering" shouted Andy as he headed for the gaping hole created by the hot water balloon explosion.

Several firefighter entered the garage where the temperature had managed to drop several degrees.

- "she's here!" shouted Theo

Maya had been thrown against a shelf and was on the floor unconscious.

- "noooo, nooo Mayaa" Andy shouted

-"Quickly help me out of here," said Theo to Rigo.

He put a cervical collar on Maya and put her left arm back in line.
He then took the stretcher and placed Maya on it before bringing her to the MICUs
as quickly as possible.
Andy and Vic were riding with her, with Theo at the wheel. He drove as fast as he could.

Both young women tried not to think about the fact that it was their best friend.

- "we have to warn Carina!" Said Vic

- "no, not until we get to the hospital. She's at work anyway."

-"I know her, she'll make us miserable if we don't warn her".
