The Military School (En)

Bordeaux, France (part 1)

It had been two and a half weeks since Maya returned from California.
It was mid-May and both women were preparing to go to the Bordeaux-Merignac base in France.

The email the captain received when she was in California, was a confirmation that she could come with someone, as she was in a relationship with someone also from a NATO military base.

It was a Thursday night and they had to leave right after their workdays. They both had to put down their Fridays.

- "Are you happy to be back at your old base?"

- "before I knew you could come, I was going mostly for my parents... Mason lived on this base. It's going to bring back a lot of memories."

- "so nothing to do with ..."

- "no! I promise! What a question... I don't even know if they'll be there"

- "arggh... Nothing to tell me there are two!" Said she as she dropped her head back

- "Are you serious?!" Said the blonde with a smile on her face as she came to grab the hips of her companion

- "you let 4 girls make love to you and I'm going to see two of them, in less than 48 hours"

- "and we're talking about the fact that for nine years this year it's been all about you? And that you are the best shot of my life?"

- "I am?" Said Carina biting her lip, before tilting her head, to come and kiss the blonde.

- "even though I really want to continue what you seem to want to do. We have to finish packing and leave in less than an hour."

-"I only need... Five minutes."

Maya and Carina would fly to Los Angeles, to the blonde's parents' house, and then they would take a military plane, with other former base personnel, to Bordeaux-Merignac.

During the whole flight the two women had their fingers intertwined, the head of the brunette on the shoulder of the blonde.
It was not the kind of flight where there were screens. The seats were along the cabin, facing each other.

With each turbulence, Maya squeezed her fiancée's hand a little tighter.

- "Are you okay Bambina?"

- "It's okay."

-"Bambina, dimmi cosa c'è che non va. Sento che sei stressato. non sei come al solito" [Bambina, tell me what's wrong. I feel that you are stressed. you are not as usual].

- "l'ultima volta che ho preso questo tipo di aereo è stato per tornare da una missione. è anche l'ultimo aereo su cui è stato trasportato mio fratello." [the last time I took this type of plane was to return from a mission. it is also the last plane my brother was transported on].

- "ooohh Bambina" said the brunette tightening the grip of her fingers and her second hand on the forearm of the blonde.

-"voglio baciarti" [I want to kiss you].

- "davanti a tutti?" [In front of everyone?]

-"no, è per questo che te lo dico" [no, that's why I'm telling you].

After a few hours of flying they had fallen asleep. And after a while they had finally landed in France.
It was already late and they had all been in quarters, which had been reserved for visitors.

They had arrived at the shelter of the building where they would sleep for the next two days.

- "Mayaaaa Bishop!!!" Said a voice from the back of the room.
