Catania (part 1)

The plane was taxiing on the airport tarmac at 2pm.
The most frustrating thing for some of them was that they had to wait in line for the foreign passports while Carina and Andrea had Italian passports and could therefore take the faster European line. Fortunately the girls were there for Maya because Carina didn't want to leave her alone.

The twins had gone to the baggage carousel to wait for the girls.
They were talking when Carina felt a hand wrap around her fingers.

- "ciao Bella"

- "ciao Bella, you wouldn't have seen my gorgeous girlfriend, she's brunette, breathtaking, tall, gorgeous, with a sexy accent, and did I mention she was beautiful?"

- "She's lucky, because you're really good looking too. You have beautiful eyes and a wonderful smile. I'm sure underneath that scarf is the most beautiful chest in the world and those Chino pants..." She leaned over to look at Maya's buttocks, "you have the most beautiful ass I have ever seen" she said and then leaned over to kiss her

-"We came back to the scene of the crime. It feels strange to be here. It's been so long."

- "too long"

- "I hope it goes well with your parents"

- "they always loved you"

- "always before I shed their daughter's tears"

Once the luggage was retrieved, they headed for the exit. When Andy saw Alberto, she ran into his arms.

-"I feel like I've seen it all before," Carina said, squeezing Maya's hand.

- "yep, that was us not too long ago"

- "and at the same time so long ago"

They had then gone to Airbnb. They hadn't needed to rent a car. The twins had one to both of them at their parents' house.

Each couple had chosen a room and settled in. It was already 3:30 p.m.
They had all gone to the shower. The five arriving from Seattle had not showered in a while and were starting to feel uncomfortable in their clothes. And then in Catania it was already warmer than in Seattle in early March.

Carina had put on a black dress with flowers and Maya had opted for a blue t-shirt with jean shorts, of course the latter had to put her scarf over it and bandages to cover her scars which were not to be exposed to the sunlight for 3 months, including the one on her jaw.

Andrea had asked that Alberto drop them off at 6:00 p.m. at their parents' house so they could see them and get their car. They knew that Andy would spend more time with Alberto than with them.

So they had arrived.
The twins' parents were both there.
First Carina had introduced Andy to her parents. Then Maya, who had stayed behind, came to say hello.

Lucia had tears in her eyes, but Maya couldn't tell what kind of tear it was.
Vincenzo had a cold and hard look in his eyes. It was not won. The young people had had the descence to slip away to let these four speak.

- "first of all I... I'm sorry, sorry for the way I treated Carina, I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I am, dee-deeply sorry, I, I...." Carina's parents could see that she was totally freaked out in front of them and was losing it. She looked behind her for Carina's hand, for her own, but couldn't find it. Why didn't she want to take her hand? Did her parents' opinion matter that much?

Vincenzo burst out laughing at Maya's increasingly lost and dejected expression, she turned around and Carina had her hands over her mouth to keep from laughing.

- "but come here!" He said, opening his arms wide to her. "Carina lectured us before you arrived. That she couldn't live without you, that she'd had explanations about your behavior and that she'd forgiven you. Who are we to go against what she wants?"
