Maya had taken a shift tonight to replace a colleague from the B team. She was relieved because an argument had broken out that afternoon after she found Sarah's number in Carina's jacket. In the pocket of the leather jacket. She hadn't wanted to stay at their place. She was upset with Carina. Her behavior was unacceptable.

Okay she had told Carina that she thought Sarah was hot but that was no reason to keep her contact. Obviously Sarah's number wasn't just written on Carina's hand and from the writing on the card she had written it herself. Probably on the way home or after Sarah had written it on her hand.

Why had she kept her number and why had Maya wanted to wear Carina's leather jacket just today.

Carina was also upset, she had told Maya that there was no reason for her to worry and she didn't even know herself why she had kept Sarah's number and why she had gone to copy it. Okay, Sarah was beautiful, but she wasn't Maya. She loved Maya and their life was fulfilling, sexually, emotionally and professionally. She couldn't explain the gesture she had made. Maybe it was fear of marriage, fear of commitment.

Anyway, Maya had not hesitated for a second to go and replace her colleague, without telling her, while they were in the middle of a discussion, in the middle of an argument.

So Carina decided to go to Joe's. She went alone and had already had several drinks when someone sat down next to her. Her phone was off, she didn't want Maya to be able to contact her. She had wanted to duck out tonight, so, so be it.

- "It doesn't look good Carina"

-" Sarah, the woman of my torments "

- "how so?"

- "oh nothing, don't worry. Can I buy you a drink?"

-" Maya's not here? Are you alone?"

- "only like Tom Hanks in Cast Away!"

-And you need company?" she said with a charming smile

- "It depends, do you want to take my mind off it?" she replied in the same tone.

- "It's up to you, Carina, it's never been up to you"

-"I live not even 10 minutes away by foot"

-" Maya won't be there?"

-" Let's not talk about her, shall we?"

- "I have my car and I'm still sober"

- "do you want to go now or do you need a drink?"

- "I would never need to drink with you."

Carina had brought Sarah home. Maya wasn't there and Andy and Alberto had gone to Los Angeles for a few days. They had the apartment to themselves.

-"Today I want you to touch me"

- "whatever you want Carina"

-"Undress me, Sarah," Carina said, sliding her lips down her neck.

-"kiss me first"

-"I don't know if I can kiss anyone else but her"

-" Carina I'm going to make love to you, so I don't think you're that close"

-"You're right," she said, pressing her body against Sarah's and slipping her tongue into her mouth.

Carina led Sarah to her bedroom, to their bedroom. She was already practically naked. She undressed Sarah and they were soon in their underwear. Leaving her bra on, Sarah removed Carina's stocking and dipped two fingers into her.

Maya was at the barracks, lying on her back in bed. This was the quietest shift she had ever experienced and all that time was spent brooding in silence.
