Catania (part 2)

On Saturday they slept in. Everyone had slept at the rental place.

At 1pm the twins' parents had come to eat at the Airbnb with all the kids. And spend some time with them.

They had left around 4 pm. The friends had stayed to enjoy the pool and the atmosphere.
They had slept again on the spot. But the next morning, no question of sleeping in. The program was loaded. The six young people were going to spend the day with the parents of the twins.

On Sunday, therefore, they had gone to the market in the morning. At noon they had eaten with the parents of the twins at the restaurant. And in the afternoon they had decided to go to the beach. They had to go at least once before leaving.

There were the parents of the twins, Andy, Alberto, Sam, Andrea and the girls.
They were settled and enjoying the beach. They were at Santa Maria la Scala.
It was extremely rare that the parents of the twins went to the beach. But their children were leaving the next day for Seattle and they wanted to enjoy the most of their children.

Maya had opted for a black two-piece swimsuit. She had finally succumbed after all the compliments Carina had given her this week.

-"Wow, I feel like I'm having a vision, a feeling of déjà vu. You are sublime" said Carina looking at Maya.

Maya had not put on her scarf, she just had the bandages on her scars.
She had not wanted to go swimming and had stayed on the beach. Carina had wanted to stay with her.

They were all finally back on their towels to dry off a bit.

- "What time is it, please?" Maya asked her girlfriend.

- "hmm, 3 pm" replied Carina.

- "shall we go for a walk?"

- "if you want Bambina"

They got up from their napkins.

-"aoutch" Maya bent down again, she must have stepped on something.

- "Are you okay, Bambina?" Carina said as she turned back to her. As she got down on one knee.

- "Carina, a little over 7 and a half years ago, 2724 days, 65,376 hours, give or take a few minutes. I became your girlfriend on September 25, 2021. I remember every second I spent with you. And I also remember every second I spent without you and I never want to spend another moment of my life without you by my side. And that's why today I would like to ask you, in front of your parents, in front of your brother, your sister-in-law and our friends, at least a part of it. [Flashback]

On Thursday evening Carina, Maya, Sam and Andrea had gone to eat at the base.

The twins' parents were in the kitchen. Maya pretended to get water and joined them in the kitchen.

-"Are you okay, Tesoro?" Lucia asked.

- "Yes, I wanted to talk to you..."

-"What's going on?" Vincenzo asked.

-"I know I hurt Carina. And I've learned my lesson, I could never, ever live without her. When I was younger we used to say all the time that we were soulmate, that we were the love of each other's lives. But after being separated from her, I know, I know that we were right and that it was not a love of youth. And that's why I'd like you to give me her hand. And I would like you to be there when I ask her."

- "and you want to ask her when?" Enzo asked.

- "by the end of the vacations"

- "and you have a wedding ring?"
