59. CEO Manoban

Lisa dropped Jennie to her hotel after having dinner with her mother because Jennie had a flight next day to Seoul. Lisa can't follow Jennie in her hotel room or even later to drop her to airport because of all the paparazzi. She also decided to stay in Thailand with her parents for a few days to make it up for missing their Christmas get together.

JENNIE KIM

I went back to Korea a day after the concert in Thailand. It was a really tiring month for me because I had to fly back and forth after each concert. And the time difference makes it more difficult.

Lisa came to Hong Kong on my birthday. I had a flight back to Korea on 16th, I planned to see her after reaching there but she surprised me at the airport instead. We celebrated my birthday in her private jet. There was nothing special about it but with just her being there with me made me feel like the happiest and luckiest person alive on earth.

March came soon for me. I did manage to meet Lisa for a few hours before I had to fly again to Malaysia for my next concert in Kuala Lumpur.

I had managed to free my schedule for her birthday. I can't believe we have known each other for a year now. I went back to Korea secretly from all the Paparazzi right after my concert in Manila. The only present I could give her on her birthday was my time because I have been supper busy the last few months and couldn't look for anything special.

We both locked ourself in a nice private cabin in the middle of nowhere for a few days before I had to go back to my life and she had to finally join her family company.

When Jennie said who Lisa was, I was out of words. I don't actually know what to do in a situation like this. I looked at my wife who also had the same expression as me. She was holding my hand tightly.

Jennie told us everything how she met the Brüschweilers. How she saw the pictures from a camera. How she found out about Lisa being the heir of MB group.

"You met Marco?" It was the first thing that I registered. How come he didn't tell me that he met Jennie.

"Yeah. He is so Charismatic Dad. And he was so funny and so cool. I never felt left out or out of place for even a second when I was with them." I smiled automatically looking at my younger daughter.

"Did he knew who you were?" I asked, He would have told me if her knew.

"Yes Lisa already told them about me over the phone calls. So both her parents know me."

"I mean, He knows that you are the heir of Kim Corporation?" My daughter is slow sometimes.

"Oh... I don't think so... Even after I found out who they were, Lisa and I didn't talk about that. I guess they don't even know that I know who they are."

That explains it. I will discuss this with Marco as soon as possible. This is something that will affect the life of both our children. I know he will have thought of something already.

LALISA MANOBAN

Today is my first day going to work. The Seoul Headquarters of MB Group was Directly supervised by my parents. They mostly had online meetings or they would travel if it's important. But now that I'm here, I will be the one taking decisions.

When I first stepped in the reception area of MB group headquarters, I felt the weight of the whole building on my shoulders. I saw a lot of people standing in line to welcome me.

It was already announced that I will be joining the office today. I was introduced as the new CEO of this branch. As the Seoul office was also the headquarters of Korea, the CEO was not appointed because all the decisions were made by my father. But now I am being appointed as the CEO of the headquarters in Korea.

I now had to keep bodyguards with me whenever I will have to travel for business. The mask helps to keep my personal life separate. At least I can move around freely when I'm not working.

As it was my first day in office I had a formal OOTD. I will prefer casual wear over formals any day. Even though I had to wear formals, I never abandoned my style. I had an all black outfit completed with my black mask. The only difference between me and my bodyguard was that I was wearing a 7 piece suit and they were in just black shirt and pants.

As I can't drive on my own now, I used company's car. I also don't want anyone to know about my personal car number. I actually got another one that will be parked in my company's basement, if I had to go somewhere directly I can just use that and no will know.

There were Paparazzi's outside the building but my bodyguards managed to make a clear path for me to walk. The company's security was also very good as the entrance was clear from all the paparazzi.

My head bodyguard is a friend of mine. He was the younger son of my father's head bodyguard. His code name is jack. He is the only one among my bodyguards who has seen my face.

There were people waiting for me in the front of the reception area. The COO of the branch came forward to welcome me. I knew most of the higher ups of the branch. My father sent me the information of all the important people who I will work with closely.

I shook hand with all the important people and everyone bowed when they saw me. There were not many people here. We took the elevator to the top floor of the building where my office will be. As soon as I left the elevator there were more people standing in 2 rows making path for me. They bowed as soon as they saw me.

Thank god I was wearing a mask, I knew my face was red due to all the attention. I'm not used to so many people bowing for me. I bowed a little too and made eye contact with as many people as I can as I passed them. I nodded slightly and thanked them as they welcomed me.

When I was in front of my office, I turned to look at all the people. They were all smiling. Even though they don't know I'm actually the heir of MB group, they still knew I was an important person because I was the first person to be appointed as the CEO in this branch. The mask doesn't leave any room for imagination either.

"Good morning, everyone. You can call me LM and I am deeply honored to step into the role of CEO and be part of this incredible team. A loud sound of everyone clapping was heard after I finished the first task of being the CEO. The entrance speech. I bowed once again and entered my office along with my head bodyguard, The COO, CFO, CIO and the President, Vice- President. I will have a meeting later with the board of directors.

I have worked with my father when I was home schooled and got the chance to join important meetings, even though I was a teenager. So I know how all of this goes. We talked about a few things and they soon left my office.

I finally got time to look around the place where I will be spending a lot of my time now. I was alone in the room, Jack was outside my office, So I decided to call Jennie. Today's only 1st April and she will leave Korea on 10th, so we have a few days to spend some time together.

I heard her cheerful voice as soon as she picked up the call.
