"I'm going out tonight Ava" Connor told her, coming up to her at the nurses station.
"Hot date?" Ava smirked to him, glancing up from her laptop.
"Oh yeah, me, Will and a football game. Can't beat that" he smirked.
"Oh well don't stay out too late"
"You going to be okey?" He asked.
"I think I'll survive, what, six hours without your company?" She tossed her head back to look at him. Connor shook his head and returned his gaze to his paper work, glancing up to Ava occasionally.

Connor drove the, back to the apartment and got showered and changed for the game.
"Ava I'm heading off" he called down the hall.
Ava stuck her head out of her room, "have fun"
Connor walked to Molly's since he wanted to have a drink. The place was buzzing with excitement when he entered.
"Hey Man" he hugged Will when he spotted him at the bar.
"Games just started, you haven't missed anything" he handed him a beer.
"Thanks" they cheered as the players ran onto the pitch.
The game kicked off but no one had score Ed yet so they took up some light convosation.
"So, you have anyone special in your life?" Will asked since Robyn had returned home.
"Other then you?" Connor laughed and bumped their shoulders together.
"I'm serious man"
"No, no one new" he shook his head.
Will went to press it more when their team scored and the bar erupted with cheers and shouts.

The other team got the ball from them and the crowd fell into groans.
"What about you?"
"What about me"
"Any one new in your life?" Connor asked, eating a crisp.
"No, no, no" Will shook his head.
There was a loud groan that could be heard over the grits of disappointment as the other team scored again.
"Hey, Hey! Break it up!" Gabbie called from behind the counter.

Connor left the apartment with a click and Ava came out of her bedroom. She had known Connor was going out since last night when she'd heard Will mention it. Ava set up the sofa with a blanket, laid out the snacks she's bought and settled in for the night.

Only half way through the new season of her show their was a pounding on the door. Ava paused her show and opened the door.
"What is on your face?" Connor ran a hand through his hair.
"Hello to you too" Ava stepped aside for Connor to come in.
"I thought you'd be gone much longer" she commented, waking back to the living area.
"There was a fight at the bar, kicked everyone out" Connor said, getting some water from the tap.
"Was anyone hurt?"
"No, just a busted lip, maybe a broken nose" Connor leaned back against the counter.
"Do you want to finish the game here?" Ava nodded to the tv.
"No, I heard the score when we we're leaving, we lost" he took a sip of his water.

"Now more importantly Dr. Bekker, what is on your face"
"They're eye masks" she held up the packet, "I like to not looking like a raccoon at the end of my shift"
"Rude" Connor chuckled.
"I have spares if you want" she offered.
Connor thought about it for a moment before going her in the sofa.
"Yeah, Why not" he took the packet off her, placing them on his eyes.
"Their slimy" he shuddered, playing them like how Ava had them.
Ava pushed an open bottle of wine and a bowel over to him as well.

"I shouldn't mix my drinks" he stood his head, he took a snack from the bowl and relaxed back into the sofa.
He was enjoying this more then he did the football match.
"What's this?" Connor nodded to the tv.
"It's a medical show I'm watching, it's in Afrikaans. We don't have to watch it if you don't want to" she shrugged.
"No, it's fine. Are their subtitles?"
"Oh yeah" Ava flicked them on and hit play.
Connor took a bite of the snack from Ava's bowl, smiling in delight.
"The is delicious, I didn't know you liked beef jerky"
Ava gave him a look and laughed slightly, "That's Biltong, it's like beef jerky but better. Because it's South African"
"I won't disagree with you there" he munched away happily.

Ava leaned back on the sofa, stretching her legs out she rested them on Connors lap.
"Was this your plan all along Dr. Bekker? Lure me in with medical drama's and food just to use me as a footrest?" Connor tutted his tongue.
"Maybe it was" Ava grinned, taking a sip of her drink.
Connor rested one of his hands on Ava's ankles, rubbing his thumb in little circles. Ava closed her eyes and took a deep breath, remembering how he used to do that when they were together.

They watched the show together with Ava laughing at some lines and Connor laughing a second later when the subtitles came on.
Connor gasped, "so she was the one that was causing all the trouble at the hospital"
"And she faked her own death!"
"Didn't see that one coming" Ava said
The screen went black before them and Ava pulled her legs off Connors lap.
"What's about the next episode?"
"That's the end of this season" Ava took off her eye masks.
"But how will we know if Puleng gets her baby back?" Connor frowned.
"We will, when the next season comes out"
Connor pouted his lip and Ava laughed, "you've gotten terribly impatience"
"I'm just invested" he argued.

"We should watch friends together sometime, I loved that show growing up" Connor took off his own mask.
"Friends?" Ava questioned, putting the dirty dishes in the sink.
"Yeah, friends. You know, it's about a group of friends living in New York"
"Oh yeah, the real American thing. One of them has a monkey right?"
"Yeah, yeah. That's the one" he comforted.
Ava finishes putting the dishes away and looked up to Connor.
"This was nice" she says softly.
Connor nods, "it's was"
"Goodnight"
"Goodnight" she walks to her room, smiling to him as she passes.
