Chapter 22- Casual

"Hey Connor" someone's called after him as he walked down the hall.
"Robyn, hey" he stopped for her to catch up, smiling.
"I was thinking we could get that lunch together"
"Yeah, yeah that sounds great"
"So how's Ava doing?" She asked as they queued up in the canteen.
"Yeah she's getting there, she walked for the first time the other day. At the rate she's going she'll be out of here by the end of the week"
"That's great! It's awful what happened, and how are you doing, I heard you were the one who found her" she asked, placing her hand on his arm.
"Yeah it was, it was tough but I'm getting through it" Connor said stiffly, swallowing thick saliva.
They sat down to have their coffee and lunch.
"You can talk to me about it, if you want"
Connor shock his head, "I don't really want to remember it all"
Robyn nodded and rubbed her thumb offer his arm.

"You know I was thinking we could go for dinner Friday night? I had some ideas I wanted to run by you" she suggested.
"Robyn" Connor said causality, "I just got out of a pretty serious relationship"
Robin shook her head slightly, smiling, "That's okey Connor" she said, taking a sip of coffee.
"I was only looking for something casual"
"But there is a position opening North Memorial, theirs a new research project opening into cardiology. I thought you might what to know about it"
"Thank you Robyn" he said sincerely. "But I have some unfinished business here"
Robyn placed her hand on top of Connors, giving it a quick squeeze before slipping out of her seat with her coffee.

A/n: sorry these Robyn and Connor chapters are so short, this will be the last one for a good while but I will always upload two chapters if one is quite short like this.
