Chapter one

She ran down the stairs that led down to the dragon fields behind the pit at a quick pace. Walking towards her was Myrio, the only keeper that was allowed to be around the biggest dragons.

"How is she today, Myrio?" Vis asked, stopping just as she passed him.

"Very well, my lady Borron," He answered, nodding slightly with a small smile on his face.

"Can I?" She said, turning her head towards the large creature towering over the grass fields further down towards the shore.

He nods his head.
"Be careful, my lady."

With a big smile on her face, she slightly curtsied, walking towards the dragon calmly.

"What a nice day you are having, Vhagar." The dragon lifts her head, looking over at the tall girl. You can tell that she recognized the scent of the young girl who had just walked up to her when she slowly laid her head down and huffed.

Vis let's out a small giggle as she adjusts her cloak about to fall down from her head of from the wind, walking to the shoulder of Vhagar, patting her scales, stroking the rough skin of the biggest dragon in the world. She leans towards the dragon, resting her head against her. "Oh, how I wish I could ride you."

"What do you think you're doing, girl!????" A harsh deep yell, scaring her so badly that she felt like her heart was on the way out of her chest. She turns around in panick, thinking one of the kings guard has caught her with the Prince's dragon. She doesn't even realize that in the middle of all of it, the hood of her cloak falls down, revealing her white hair, blowing slightly in the wind.

There was no kings guard, just a tall man, suddenly frozen in his spot just staring at her.

Vhagar lifts her head, looks over to her rider and turns her head back at Vis, huffs again, before laying down as if it's just another day on the field.

Vis doesn't move away from Vhagar, just joins the man in the staring contest. Then she realizes what might have made him shocked as she feels her hair blow in front of her face. She quickly pulls her hood up, covering her hair completely before finally stepping away from the dragon.

"I'm so sorry, my prince." She let's out, taking another step, just close to Vhagars snout. Vhagar sniffs her hand, forcing a small smile on Vis' face as she strokes the side of her snout.

"Good girl." She whispers. The man hasn't said a thing, only he stands there watching another person being so close to his dragon.

Vis decides that she might as well break the ice, as it doesn't seem like he will. But before she is able to open her mouth, the man steps towards her, stops right in front of her and raises his hands up, grabs the hood, and lifts it off her head before taking a step back.

"You a bastard, girl?" He asks, reaching his hand forward, grabbing a curly lock of her white hair, tossing it away from her face.

"No.. ehhm, I mean yes. But I'm a Snow."
He frowns the brow over his only working eye, raising it slightly.

"You want me to believe that you're a bastard from the north with hair like that?" He chuckles, walking past her and towards the rope ladder that leads to the saddle.

"I'm a Borron, my prince." Vis adds, turning towards where the boy headed, now watching him climb up the ropes, almost dragging himself up the tall back of the dragon before seating himself on the saddle.

"A Borron? Of the court? So you are a bastard then. Who is your father?" He asks, just sitting on top of the back, towering over the girl on the ground.
