CHAPTER SIXTYSIX

Before Vis was to join the Queens guard in the throne room for her meeting, she was met by her hand in the hallway on the fift floor of the east tower. He was carrying Vis' crown in his hand, and once he had greeted his Queen, he gestured for her to ready herself to have it put on her head.

She really disliked meetings like this for that exact reason. That crown felt heavier and heavier every time she put it on her head. Lord Maron was in the middle of briefing her when Vis' attention was ripped away from his voice, and her eyes landed on the man who was approaching them from further down the hall.

When Lord Maron saw that she was no longer paying attention to him and instead looked past him, he stopped and turned around, seeing the old king now walking up to them. He stopped by Lord Marons side, bowed his head before he grabbed Vis' hand, and brought it to his lips, kissing the knuckles quickly, keeping the eye contact he had with her while doing so.

"My queen."

Vis let out a loud sigh as she pulled her hand out of his grip, seeing the smug look he had plastered on his face. "Skoriot emagon ao issare, Aegon?"
'Where have you been, Aegon?'

"Sunspear."

"Skoro skyt?" 'Why?'

"Jorrāelatan mirrī hen vēzos."
'Needed a bit of sun.'

"Where is my brother?" He was still just staring at her. His eyes moved like they were scanning her face in their sockets. Vis cuts off their gaze and looks over at Lord Maron for a short moment, who just nods quickly as she turns her attention back to Aegon.

"We found his daughter Verona and her mother Shae in Mereen, and they arrived this morning. He is spending some time with them. But if you excuse me, " She is about to start walking when he grabs her wrist. "I have a meeting -" That gets her attention back, and she sighs loudly as she pulls her arm away from his grip.

He is almost growling in his spot when he steps up to her, almost closing the space between them. Vis sees Ser Criston is about to ingage, so she tells him not to. "I want to know if I am going to be a father or not, Vis." He reaches up his hands and cups her face in them.

"Because if you are, I want to have a say in -"

"Aegon." She is way too tired and not in the mood to argue with him right now.

"I'm seeing the Maester in my chambers later." She adds. "Don't disappear. I'll have a guard fetch you when I know." He let's go of the grip he has on her once she finishes her sentence, and he nods quickly before leaning in and presses a kiss to her forehead. He then bows his head before leaving their presence.

"You alright, your grace?" Vis can hear Ser Criston ask behind her.

"Yes, let us get this meeting over with." And with that, she is on her feet and walking in her famous quick pace, her knight and her hand barely able to keep up as always.

The doors to the Throne room are opened by two guards as she approaches, and all the attention goes towards the young girl in her violet flowy dress as she is quickly moving up the room and towards the Iron Throne.

Once she reaches it, she turns around in front of it, looks out onto the sea of faces that contains the men and women of the Queens guard as well as the men and woman at her council court.

"My ladies and lords."

"Your grace." They all say it together, and their cue to sit down are on when they all see Vis taking a seat on the Throne.

She started the meeting by telling everybody about the updated news from the conflict that they had fixed in the north. Chaos did not find its path into the Throne room that day when the knights and guards, ladies and lords all heard about the Wildlings and how they were granted their own space on the continent south of the wall.
