CHAPTER THIRTYONE

Tissaia was also very much shocked by the appearance of the king in her lady's chambers, but she quickly curtsied to the king who up until now had been staring her down.

"Tissaia, don't you dare leave." Vis had said towards her maid that now was heading towards the door.

Aegon is looking back and forward between his cousin and her maid, letting out a cocky chuckle.

"Why did you show that friend guard of yours and my brother the only spot I have to be left alone in earlier?" He spits out while he slowly makes his way over to the table where Vis usually eats her breakfast, sitting down on one of the chairs.

Vis glares over at the king who keeps the cocky grin on his face after he finishes speaking.

"I was hoping that we would find you dead, honestly." She snaps at him, causing the king to laugh again.

"Why do you keep insisting on pretending that you don't like me, cousin? It hurts me deeply." He touches his chest with his hand, giving her a less cockier smile.

"Oh, as you have given me so many reasons to like you when you act like a cunt?" Vis is not in the mood for his games. She is tired and her feet hurt from the days strain on them. Aegon just raises his brows, nodding his head almost as if he is agreeing.

Tissaia is still standing by the tub, not daring to move after her lady had told her to stay.

"Leave us." Vis turns towards her maid and steps in front of her.

"Stay." Her tone strict as their eyes meet.

"I'm the king, when I say leave, you leave Maid!" Aegon raises his voice and Tissaia just gives Vis a last glance before walking off and out of the chambers. He gets up from his chair and steps towards Vis, causing her to take a step back. This just seems to amuse Aegon and he steps closer to Vis who know has her back against the frame of her bed.

"You should have just come and visited me, that would have made it so much easier for you, yeah?" He says as he raises his hand. Vis closes her eyes waiting for either him to struck her or to touch her.

"You should learn to take a fucking hint." She mumbles under her breath, turning her face away as he places his palm on her cheek.

"You think that just because you decided that you didn't want to come and see me, I would automatically leave you alone?" He chuckles as he says that before he grips her jaw and pulls her face towards him. She resists pretty hard, but he is much stronger than her.

When he steps even closer, leaving almost no space between them he leans in. Vis reacts the only way she can and reaches both her hands out and pushes him away from her before strucking his face with a loud slap. Aegon reaches for the spot where she has just hit him, staring at her, his eyes dark. He shakes his head slightly as he massages the spot she just struck.

He is clearly aggravated by what just happened and wastes no time to aggressively grab her. She tries to resist, but he manages to push her down to the bed and before she knows it he is on top of her. He grabs both of her arms and pins them down to the bed, but what happens next is like a dream come true to Vis.

The chamber doors fly open and Aemond sprints inside and over towards his brother, his dagger in his hand. The look on Aegons face is priceless when he sees his brother charge towards them, now letting go of Vis before he backs away from Aemond who quickly forces him up against the wall, the dagger in his hand hard against the Kings neck. Vis is quick to get up from the bed and runs after him, her hand reaching for Aemonds.

"Your maid is clearly very loyal." Is all Aemond says. His face is clearly tense, his eye staring down his brother who is just laughing like the maniac he is.

"I should kill you for this and just be done with it." Aemond mumbles through gritted teeth.

"How long has he been taunting you?" Aemond keeps the dagger sharply against his brother neck before turning his head towards Vis.

"Answer me, Visenya!" He snaps at her, his tone harsh, causing Vis to jump slightly in her spot.

"I-" She starts, her voice breaking as she doesn't know what to say. She glances over at Aegon who is staring back at her, clearly waiting for her to yield.

"He assaulted me a few days ago, he-" Aemonds feels a strong sting in his chest as he hears the broken words of his love.

"He put his hands all over me." Vis mumbles as she can feel the tears fall down her face. She feels so small in her spot on the floor, and all she wants is for Aemond to let go and hold her. When she feels like she is about to faint she tries to step back to grab support from the bed, but her weight is catches by someone behind her. Tissaia grabs her lady's arms and helps her over to the bed.

"I should feed you to my dragon." Aemond is heard saying.

"I don't understand what the big fuss is ab-" Aegons spurts out but is cut off by the sharp feeling of his brother's dagger digging into his skin. The skin breaks and blood starts flooding from the wound. If a look could kill, the intense stare Aemond has on his brother with his only eye would definitely have Aegon dead by now.

Aemond tries to keep his mind clear to focus as he debates in his head on what to do. He can't have Aegon punished, he is the king. He can kill him, but that will make him a traitor even though he is the only heir and they would have his head along with Vis' life.

"I will not kill you on one condition, brother." Aemond says as he exhales deeply.

"That tomorrow, she and I will leave. And when we come back, you will abdicate in favor for me, and you will do so without any hesitation, without telling a single soul that your life depends on it." He adds, letting his dagger dig a little bit more into Aegons neck.

Vis is on the bed, listening to what he is suggesting when she hears Aegon let out a loud laugh.

"And what if I just have you both killed before you even get out to your dragons?" He spits at Aemond who in response puts more pressure on the dagger piercing his neck.

"Okay, okay, yes!" Aegon spurts out, sighing in relief when Aemond is no longer pressing the tip of his knife into his skin.

"I have a 100 guards loyal to me, brother. And they will be outside of this chamber and by our side until we have left tomorrow. And when we come back, IF we come back. You will step down without any hesitation." Aemond reminds him.

"And we will leave dragonback, with at least 4 ships of my men as well as our staff and enough money and gold to last us the entirety of however long the trip is." He adds.

"Aemond." Vis turns his attention away from his brother's face. He watches her shake her head, staring at him.

"It's fine, I'm fine." She mumbles as she wipes her cheeks. Aemond pulls away his dagger and grabs his brother, dragging him out of thr chamber. When Aegon is out he pushes his brother away before kicking him down on the stone floor.

"We will be gone after sunrise." He spits towards Aegon before quickly returning to his love who he has been longing to hold.
