CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Y'all, I am beginning to notice that I haven't written fanfiction in at least 9 years(yes, im THAT old). Your brain is constantly developing the story, even when you aren't writing.
It even haunts my dreams, lol.
Bro resurrected a fanfic veteran. Literally.●●●
It was extremely late when the pair realized that they were stuck in Aemonds room. Because he also had told her to keep the hinge on the door to the passway locked, they also did not have the option to use the hallway to put Vis back in her room without guards noticing them.
So they had to come up with a plan. Aemond had gotten himself dressed because he could not leave his chambers in his undergarments. Vis had done the same when she realized they had sat in on the bed for half an hour, trying to figure out how to get the hinge of the passway unlocked.
"Aemond, don't get mad, but Yara knows." She said shortly. Aemonds eye widened, and he was about to say something when she interrupted him.
"You just walk over to her chambers, tell her that I told her to enter my chambers to unlock the door. Nice and simple, right?" She throws her hands in the air as if it was the only logic solution.
"What would I possibly want with your maid this late?" He asks, questioning if it'll work.
"Who cares? You could, for all the guards, know be returning from your studies, and you had forgotten to tell me something that I needed to know before breakfast?" Aemonds pulls a face, shrugging.
"I thought you said MY guards were loyal to YOU, right?" Aemond sits down next to her and sighs.
"Yes, when it comes to short visits like me entering and exiting within an hour. Not you leaving my chambers long after you were supposed to be in yours."
Aemond had gotten up from his seat, exited his chambers, and walked past the oblivious guards standing outside of Vis' doors as if she actually was in there.
He chuckles quietly while doing so. Knocking on the door that leads to Yaras chambers, he was surprised at how quickly she had opened the door. He told her about the situation, and first, Yara had given him a very judgeful look before throwing her hands in the air.
The whole thing happened very smoothly, and before Vis knew it, Aemond was back in the room with her. He just walked past her and over to the wall by his bed that led into the passway.
Vis had gotten up from her seat and followed him through the narrow hall and over to the door that she knew led into her rooms. They heard the hinge buckle on the other side of the door, and soon, it swung open.
Aemond had thanked Yara, but Yara had only given Vis the same look she gave Aemond earlier, shaking her head slightly.
"May I remind you of your place, Yara?" Aemond had said after noticing.
Vis had insisted on explaining the next morning and added that she would be needing the tea with her breakfast.Aemond had corrected her, saying that Vis would not need the tea before after dinner tomorrow evening as they were going riding and the tea could give her an unpleasant day.
After Yara had left the pair in the chambers, Aemond had struggled with leaving. He wanted to stay, and he wanted to watch her fall asleep beside him. So, instead of returning to his chambers, he had helped her get out of her dress, yet again, this time only much quicker. He joined her in bed shortly after she herself had gotten into it.
"I'm gonna be gone by the time you wake up, so don't worry when you do." He reminded her as he shuffled himself closer to his lover, pulling the covers over them both.
